Day 4/5. A selection from one of my favorite recent installations - these works were a part of tttrip at GRIN Gallery in Providence . Keep an eye out for "At the Cusp of Dusk" which will be up later this month at RISD Faculty Biennial. (Also, most of the works from the show are still available here: https://www.artsy.net/show/grin-garret-gould-claudia-osteen-sophia-sobers-tttrip )

There is finally a social media chain which I'm excited to be a part of: the 5 day art challenge (originating from facebook, but I wanted to share the works on google+ as well). I will be posting 3 pictures of work for the next 5 days - hopefully showing some pieces which aren't as highlighted on my website.

Today I'm showing the last installation of "Islets of Langerhans" from this summer, a piece which really takes on a slightly different form every time it's installed.

We survived the snow!

Having installed this public art series in late spring of last year, I'm happy to see that they have survived the brutal weather of the North East and look amazing in the aftermath of Juno.

You can get a sense of how much snow fell by comparing this image to the original documentation: http://sophiasobers.net/i-walk-therefore-i-dream/

Have you been to Grin Gallery in Providence yet? I'm currently part of a flat file show there, with small paper pieces created at the end of 2014. January 10th is the last day to check it out before they close for the next exhibit!
