There was never anyone at reception when I went there and then we had to wait until the receptionist dealt with the queu of clients that had formed while he/she was away. I asked for a quiet room and they gave me one just above their ourdoor bar which was crowded and noisy until late at night. The a/c barely worked and was noisy all night long. The bed was very confortable and the hotel and bar look great.

Very price worthy and nice rooms. Only negative is the thin walls.

Cute boutique hotel in buzzing area, and 20 minutes walk for city's main attraction. Minimalist and modern rooms, gourmet restaurant and a nice bar!

Great botique hotel at a quiet location, just a minute walk from the citys temptations.

For the current price definitely a vey good deal. Rooms are very large and clean, beds are comfortable. Service very friendly and professional. A little downside is the direct city location, which makes it a bit noisy (from the outside) in the mornings.

The restaurant was fully booked when we arrived but the staff were really helpful and found us a table within 20 minutes. The atmosphere was lovely and the food was good. There was no specifically gluten free meals listed but all the usual foods types were available and the steak was nicely cooked. The bar and terrace area is great and does a large selection of speciality Gin & Tonics, as well as all the usual suspects. It did get a quite slow when it was busy but the staff were always polite and helpful. Great experience all round and I will definitely go again when I am back in the city.

I've effectively lived in this hotel for 5 weeks... and for the money, I can highly recommend it. If you can afford to spend a little more on the suites, it is worth it, as they're far superior to the standard rooms, though these standard rooms are still good value. Barcelona is a city of cramped apartment blocks, thin walls and wooden floors - so noise is a problem in any hotel located in an established neighborhood block, such as this. Overall, the decor of the hotel is rustic, but it is clean and I have had no issues with hygiene or standards. Perfect if you don't want to stay in yet another business hotel. I would sum it up by saying that it's a 3* hotel with 4* style. So of course, don't expect room service or porters. The internet has worked fairly well for me and I've been using it for 5 weeks, so I consider that to be a fair test. The staff are extremely helpful, polite and friendly and have been very accommodating in the weeks that I have stayed here. The restaurant is great in terms of atmosphere and price, but the quality of food is reflected in the price! It's not awful, but it's average. For the money, it's fine. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.
