Staff was courteous and helpful. The building is old but seems to be under renovation. Room keys deactivated between nights for our two night stay but the desk fixed it for us quickly.

The MagiQuest game is great exercise and very time consuming. The staff are super friendly. The food is average. The wolf den room has smaller beds than normal I think. The character breakfast was the best choice of the whole trip. Our son got to turn on the water park by himself and we got to have the whole place to our family for half an hour.

The room (218) was set up great for us and the building was very welcoming inside. The breakfast was flavorful, filling and delivered right on schedule. We also got the romance and beer bouquet package so we basically had no need to leave the room. The location was good enough. Bend is a large flat area so nothing is very central but we were able to drive extremely short distances to all the things we did. There were a few things walking distance as well. I didn't find out if the local restaurants had room service arrangements set up though.

The staff were extremely accommodating. The breakfast bar was well stocked and the room was nice. The elevator runs very slow but the stairs worked without malfunction. We had a really nice visit.

Continental breakfast was nominal. Seemed like it was only there because it's traditional. The king suite had two queen beds but it was nearly 2am and I was a walk in so I didn't have any concern for the confusion. The bathtub in the room didn't drain during shower so that lame.

Skamania Lodge is a bit out of the way for dinner so we planned ahead and checked the menu online. When we arrived we found the menu has been changed, (our server believed it happened last June approximately) so the meals we were interested in we're not available. The food we did get was okay, with my prime rib medium instead of medium rare and my wife's New York the same. I definitely don't recommend the potato ham soup which is served as a puree and tasted a lot like gas station nacho cheese, which is wonderful in the right circumstances, but surprised us being devoid of any pieces of actual potato or ham. This made sense though since the french fries are bulk frozen instead of cut from fresh potato, they probably just don't have fresh potato for anything. The atmosphere was akin to Jubitz so I liked that.
