Relativity.  It's nearly as famous as the physicist who rocked the world when he revealed it, first with the special theory in 1905, and then with his General Theory of Relativity published November 25, 1915.

Amazing
A century after the publication of Einstein's general theory of relativity—and just in time for the great man's birthday—evidence has emerged to support his theory, while constraining a more recent extension. One of the central pillars of Einstein's work is that light travels at the same speed, irrespective of its energy. We know that this is not true in media such as glass, but in a vacuum Einstein's work requires radio waves, gamma rays and eve...

I have been avoiding the inevitable all day. Going to home to face the reality that my baby boy is gone. He won't be there to greet Dad and nudge his belly. He won't be there to nuzzle himself when I hug him.

He gave me the gift of love and I have to give that to Reese and Buddy still. God give me strength.

As some of you already know, today was my last day at Vertex. I was laid off two weeks ago as part of a company restructuring.

I was confident that my position was essential and secure but no one is above change and of life's abundant supply of surprises.

In light of recent events, I am going to remain confident and determined to do better and to progress in life.

Keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I start this journey anew. The odds are that one of life's surprises will be in my favor.

Thank you all for your love and support thus far.

Early this morning at 1:30 AM, my beautiful and loving son Bran Bran Valverde went to his final slumber to play again with other puppies and to chase after squirrels and rabbits in heaven.  He's finally in our forever home waiting for Dad to be there with him some day.

Bran Bran was loving and affectionate up to his last moments. I got to hold him and kiss him all over.  I thanked him for loving me and being the good puppy he had always been. I told him he was always a good boy and always so proud of him.

In return, he licked my face, nuzzled me over and over and tucked his head in my arms and chest as German shepherds love to do. As he finally started to drift to sleep, he tucked his head in my arms and chest and took his last breath.  He is finally at peace.

I love my son so much and will always miss him.  I choose to remember him like this, full love and so grateful for having been given a home and a family to love.

I'm going to try to honor his memory and be more like him in his selfless love, excitement over new things, curiosity about life and most of all his willingness to be there for you and love you even went it hurt to get up and do it.

I love you Bran Bran, always and forever.
