This has been my reliable standby since I've lived in Bel Air, and the only chain that does a good job with a good menu. Seems they have taken a turn for the worse lately. My last meal there (and it might truly be the last) was poor from door to door. Waiter was very unpolished and perhaps just very inexperienced. But the dish I had, Cod Putanesca, was just badly done. A small tasteless piece of cod sat swimming in a half inch of water in the bottom of the bowl, and then covered with plain crushed tomatoes and then another layer of roasted potatoes which turned out to be the best part of the dish. My daughter got the Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and was served what was barely a half an order anywhere else. When I wrote my concerns to the restaurant, they went unanswered. I guess Bertucci's has officially become a chain, and therefore doesn't really give a damn.

I usually go to Bertucci's for Pizza. In the past, I've visited their locations in White Marsh, and most often, Timonium. I'm not sure if it was the location, the waitress, or just a bad night, but it was an undesirable experience. The waitress' initial greeting was prompt. But it went down from there. She took our drink orders, and told us bread would be right out. Drinks came out about 15 minutes later. We ordered a Margarita and Blue Moon. Folks, their Margaritas are quite small. Be warned. The Blue Moon was flat. I sent it back and drank water. The bread came out after another 10 minutes. At which point she took our order. The food came out another 20 minutes later. Not too bad I guess. The soup was pretty bad - we had the minestrone. It was mealy and bland. My wife got a salad and I got the Chicken Domani. Neither was spectacular. The salad olives tasted canned and were soggy. The lettuce was a bit wilted. The pasta dish was watery and tasteless. The waitress checked on us just once. We asked for a few more napkins and a couple more rolls. The napkins never came. The rolls did. She never asked if my wife wanted another margarita. I give credit where credit is due. Maybe Bertucci's pasta just sucks. Maybe this was a one-off bad experience. I can't speak for the Bel Air location, but if you like tasty pizzas, White Marsh and Timonium Bertucci's are definitely the place to check out.

Ate here while on a business trip. Had the mediterranean salad, which was fabulous, and a Menuuci (probably spelled wrong) size leek, ricotta, and olive pizza. The pizza was quite tasty, but the crust was slighty undercooked for my taste, leaving it a bit soft and chewy.

Pizza and dinner rolls was delicious. Waitress we had was useless and didn't have a friendly attitude as some of the others seemed. Parking lot is dark. I don't have any problems returning to this location in the future.

My husband and I came to lunch today and had very bad service from several employees, starting with simply being seating. The hostess who greeted us was clearly annoyed that we asked for a booth or table and not to sit at the bar because the restaurant was packed. Unfortunately for this hostess I am two weeks away from giving birth and have no desire to eat at a bar or sit in a high stool. When she did find a table for us after 30 seconds of checking she exasperatedly said "Come on" and led us away. I thought it was just us, but I overheard her speaking to several other customers as flatly and rudely before our meal was over, so I know I shouldn't take her nasty attitude personally. Now we are seated and looking over the menu and ordering drinks with our seemingly pleasant waitress. We did not complain about not having rolls brought to us or requesting lemon in our water and not receiving it because the restaurant was extremely busy and it was clear our waitress could not be very attentive to us and her other tables. My husband and I are easy going and understanding so it wasn't until the dead fly appeared caked to the inside of my water glass that I felt we were really having a bad experience. I brought this to our waitresses attention and she left to fetch the manager. The manager apologized for the dead fly and offered us a free dessert. Considering I just drank a glass of water without noticing a dead insect attached to the side I really wasn't in the mood to ingest anything else from the restaurant, so we declined the offer. He then offered us some sort of free sippy cup for drinks. Again, why would we want that at this point in our meal? My husband asked they simply provide us some money off of our bill which was already on the table. We had ordered a large pizza and added a topping so our total was minimal anyway - around $23. The waitress, not the manager, reappears with our new bill which has $5 deducted from the total. She is clearly agitated with us and leaves the new check in a huff. I was not rude to her in any way, nor did I accuse her of not paying enough attention to notice she brought me a dirty glass. It is absurd to be treated curtly by her simply because we asked they adjust our bill. With how busy it was they should have given us a FREE meal, kept us happy and not been at a loss of sales for the day. Had we been less easy going we could have made a huge scene about how disgusting it is to be served a drink with a dead insect, but we did not. The entire lunch was a terrible experience aside from the pizza which was great. I wish we could have tipped the cooks rather than the waitstaff. Bottom line, we will not be wasting our money with Bertucci's again. As promised to Bertucci's this review will make the rounds on several review websites. Thanks for the attitude and abysmal customer service.
