It's been a long time since I sat in a restaurant, had dinner, and spent most of my time saying to myself (and my dinner partner) " I can't wait to get home and write a review about this!!" I was taken here as an impromptu surprise dinner. We pulled up and I was wondering why I had never heard of this place. We got to the door and I could see that it was about an hour before closing time for them so I was a little nervous about what the service and food would be like. The atmosphere is very 50s/60s Diner (don't quote me on the time frame. History is not my strongest subject). The hostess with was friendly and immediately seated us and let us know who the waitress would be. I perused the menu and there were so many good things to choose from! Sandwiches, burgers, meatloaf, mac and cheese. Everything my stomach could ever ask for. There was a lot to choose from but the menu wasn't overwhelming like say... Cheesecake Factory. It was only like 2 pages. My dinner date raved about the fried jalapeno cheese grits so we had to indulge. Those were sooo delicious. Almost like mozzarella sticks but with grits. They came with a cheesy dipping sauce that really enhanced the flavor. Great appetizer choice and a large portion as you can see from my picture. No complaints. I decided to order the Fried Catfish. It was the special of the day. It comes with 2 hush puppies and 2 sides. It was recommended that I try the mac and cheese and the mashed potatoes with "brown gravy". BOY OH BOY!!! This was quite a starchy, delicious combination!! I was in Heaven with each bite. I think the waitress thought I was crazy because my eyes rolled into the back of my head with each bite as if it was the first. The catfish melted in my mouth. The mac and cheese... quite possibly some of the best I've had in Atlanta!! The mashed potatoes were a little salty but they were so flavorful and delicious. I tried some of my dates chicken pot pie and that was mmmm mmm good! Where have you been all my life OK Cafe?! Now that we've united, I will never let you go!! Please check them out. You won't be disappointed.

OK Cafe after experiencing a fire in December of 2014 will be closed for construction until the summer of 2015. The staff eagerly awaits to come "home" and serve our guests again.

Hormone-free food, locally brewed beers, and priced like an average diner. Fantastic service with a friendly, personable staff. My new favorite diner!

Great old school diner in heart of Buckhead. Food is great, service is fast, and staff are all friendly and seem to enjoy working there. Be sure to check out their "take out" area of the restaurant where you can take some of OK Cafe's good eats home with you. Always leave happy and full -- pretty large portions in most cases.

Love, love, love this old school diner. Great comfort food and I just love their large salads! Easy to find and great meeting spot for those who are in between Buckhead and Vinings/Cobb County! #cityexperts

I have only been here twice, but each time it's been the same. The food was very poor quality and bland. They were somewhat busy, but the service was TERRIBLE. My husband wanted to have his food taken off of the bill, but we couldn't get our waitress' attention and had to get up to request service.
