We went to Speedy Transmission (Knoxville) for a transmission rebuild. My transmission was slipping/bumping and starting to get very sketchy. I called around many places and found Speedy to be the most knowledgeable, welcoming and reasonable in cost. Their rebuild service sounded more desirable than a new (or used) transmission or other rebuild services I investigated in KTown. They also offer a free diagnostic and road test, no commitment required. They took in my Mazda and I ordered a tune-up and 90,000 service along with the transmission rebuild. Basically a 'clean slate' so the car will last many more miles. The entire service only took ~3 business days and everything was done very well. Calvin was very good at keeping us updated during the service, and even followed up a few times after the repairs to make sure everything was good. There is also a 1yr, 12K mile warranty on the transmission after the rebuild. They give you a free car (which isn't a Mercedes, but it gets you around). This really helped, since we both work and have no extra cars. Also, I had a minor part go bad shortly after the service (no fault of Speedy). They were patient in diagnosing the problem even after many trials and errors. They tried to fix it but their efforts were futile. I give them credit for trying without charging me. They replaced the part at only the cost of the parts - free labor! All is good now after driving for a while. We will return for future service, and will recommend to others! Thanks!
