Stretch Therapy and Isometric Stretching

Isometric stretching is one of the fastest ways to develop increased flexibility.

Isometric stretches also develop strength in the ‘Tensed’ muscle and seems to decrease the amount of pain usually associated with stretching.

Stretch Therapy elements allow anyone to improve flexibility. Stretch Therapy is used by pregnant woman, teenages, sports people, coaches, employers, men and women of all ages.

The core technique of Stretch Therapy in respect of improving range of movement of any parts, or whole-body functions is the Contract-Relax (C-R) approach based on the method called PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation)

Any stretch affects all systems of the body. C-R Stretch Therapy evolved with the input from Yoga, Pilates, Dance, Gymnastics and Japanese exercise forms.

Safety:

All Stretch therapy exercises have been subjected to a huge amount of testing by teachers, therapists and students. Each stretch has been devised from the basis of a strong understanding of the anatomy of the muscle and the mechanics of the region.

Stretch Therapy assists general health and specific issues in a number of ways.
Improving mobility, functionality, blood flow, oxygen, cleansing of the tissue, rejuvenation, mental vibrancy, self healing capacity, injury prevention, connective tissue, neural pathways.

Thanks to Kit Laughlin for his work in Australia and internationally.
