You have crushed me with your mad linguistic skillz.  I don't even know how to respond now.  *sulks away to his defeated corner*

Two new personal records this morning - 310lbs deadlift and 770lbs leg press.  I know they're not rock star numbers, but they are so far beyond where I started a year ago it's not even funny.  And hey, I think that's not bad for a skinny guy like me.

Does the Schola still practice?  What a glorious collection of voices for our Diocese!

Yes.  We still practice most Mondays at 7:30 p.m. at Sainte Marie.

I'm writing again - consider it part of my (and your, if you should read it;) Lenten penance.  With an indirect shout out (do people still do that?) to +Lisa Josephsdatter even.  We Dominicans and Franciscans do love each other so.

Oh no they dumped me in to the deep end of the pool pretty early on.  I had to give a presentation either before or right after starting Postulancy.  I guess if you're going to be a part of the Order of Preachers they figure you'd better be able to preach! ;)

I'm proudly posting this from my Galaxy Tab 10.1 on which I have installed +11796266688853378152210.1. I'm having some problems with the keyboard randomly disappearing while typing but other than that it's working quite well. If only there were 10.2 bits available for this tablet I'd be right up there with +Scott Bilik and +Fr. Cory Sticha.

Yeah I was sad to see it.  I suppose it could be that this tablet wasn't out for all that long before they came out with the Galaxy Tab 2 so there's not a huge user base, I don't know.  In theory I could always pull the CM 10.2 bits and build them myself and try it, but that might be just a weee bit aggressive just yet. ;)

Oh if only I were that lucky.  I very rarely get sick but am very often accused of being "the carrier".  Apparently I look like a mosquito or something...

Injured my shoulder ... again.  Second time in two years, first was rotator cuff and now biceps tendon.  I never realized just how many exercises require shoulder mobility and how difficult it would be to come up with a new workout plan while I wait for this thing to heal.  If anyone has any tips I'd sure love to hear 'em.

Second day using a pre-workout booster.  I've never tried these before and I was a little nervous about becoming a bug-eyed crazy man (you've all seen the stereotypes).  I'm starting with BSN N.O. Explode - so far only one scoop per day, I'm going to try two scoops after a week or so to see how I tolerate the higher dosage.  So far the experiment is going well.  I'm able to push harder throughout my workouts and am less tired when I'm done than before.  That might be placebo effect, but I won't know for sure for a while.

I'm curious - what do other people use for pre-workout?  Also, I see that I'm supposed to cycle out after so many weeks to prevent building up a tolerance - do you cycle to a different pre-workout supplement or just go without for a few weeks?

Honestly, I have never used a pre-workout...only green tea, so I can't comment from personal experience.

Yes, you are correct that you are supposed to cycle off because your body gets used to the stimulants (it's just like coffee--after some period of time, 1 cup does not affect you like it used to--so you will need 2). If you still want to take a preworkout after you cycle off, it seems like people try to find one that does not have the same ingredients (since taking a different preworkout with the same ingredients wouldn't allow your body to lose its tolerance). However, this may be easier said than done since, from my understanding, a lot of them have the same stimulants (especially caffeine).

I hope that answers your question!

What's your Flight Into Egypt moment?  I'm finding myself struggling with this one a lot lately - a whole lot of "yeah I'm coming, just gimme a minute ... or a week ... or a month".  Then again I think in many ways that defines entirely too much of my life.  Those of you not afflicted with procrastinationitis, I envy you.

Hehe with the average age of those in the Chapter I could probably get away with that since I don't think anyone would get the reference...  As for an actual name, that wasn't brought up in our last meeting.  Either they do it later or my Formation Director was distracted, I'm not sure.  I'll have to look that one up.  I'm sure St. Thomas wrote something about that. <-- Default Dominican Response To Any Question

So there I am all nice and innocent in a work concall.  Just as I start talking one of our cats claws her way up into my lap and then stands there meowing at the phone demanding that I pat her.  Yeah, way to make me look good to the co-workers fuzzy...

She's now passed out on my lap, with a slight snore every now and then.  Totally oblivious to my embarrassment.  And the blood she drew in climbing up here.  Cats...

I discovered today that Roberta-cat has been drinking from a pot of water on my stove... I don't know why, she has fresh water in her bowl, and the pot is at least a week old water! (I used it to boil eggs)
