" Logic dictates that this was Gods plan all along because why would he allow satan to tempt them? Why would God place the tree of knowledge of good and evil for them to be tempted. I believe that God wanted Adam to eat the fruit so mortality would come to this earth as well so we could know good from evil."

Logic may dictate that as does the logical application of the sovereignty of God from a strict Calvinistic interpretation would require. That would end up making God the author of sin which is not biblical. So, we end up with the mystery of the presence of evil in Satan which is not completely explained.

Living with the tension of biblical truths about God and Satan takes great faith that does not go to the one extreme of absolute predestination where God chose from before the creation of the world who would and would not receive eternal life and the other extreme of total free will that we are the masters of our own destiny and don't really need God. This all ends up saying that some things in life are caused by God, other things by the evil of Satan along with the poor choices we make and sometimes sins that we do or the poor choices that others make and sometimes sins that they do.

Life is a battlefield which is complicated and complex but can be lived by faith like Job did despite all of the suffering with its lack of explanation does not give up his faith. Nor does he listen to his wife who tells him to just curse God and die.

Very often people loose faith due to holding a toxic faith which is basically a Santa Clause faith that if they are not naughty but nice then all these good things will be brought into their lives. Life does not work that simplistically nor is that the life which the Bible promises Jesus' disciples.

Instead of going by logic alone, we must not that throughout the Bible, God holds people responsible for their actions which supports the theological idea that God gave Adam and Eve as well as the rest of us free will to say yes or no. Given the fallen state of humanity, our free will is not as strong or as free as it once was.

Where I am in my approach to life is being realistic about the human condition while also being optimistic about what the grace of God can do in people's lives if they cooperate by saying yes to God working in their lives.

So, yes, as the scriptures portray, Adam did sin, but his sinning was not predetermined by God like a programmed robot or computer.
