I'm not a vegan, but I like food here. Seitan Katsu bowl was delicious. I also enjoyed Korma curry with tofu (comes with Steamed kale and brown rice) but the portion was small, I wasn't full after finished eating.

simple, nutricious, delicious food which leaves your body aglow. lots for us vegans _ the seitan and tempeh are homemade... really everything is homemade and tasty. the only thing is it's a few more bucks than average but worth it every so often.

It was a weekday after work and I'm cruising down Melrose hungry, but unable to find any parking. Come M Cafe de Chaya, they created space on their property to park about 6 cars which is unheard of in LA. More awkward was that you have to drive onto the pedestrian walkway to slide into a parking spot. No matter, I found an empty spot and surprisingly find myself at this vegan spot (heavy meat eater here). -=-Tuna Burger-=- Prices were a bit steep here. This tuna burger was 15 bucks, but atleast came with a side. It says burger, but it's actually an Seared Ahi Sandwich. The bread was a bit tough, so biting into the burger would squoosh the seared ahi tuna and make it harder to eat. It was pretty tasty though. There was a creamy spread that flattered the ahi tuna flavor well. Good balance in this entree. -=-Sesame Soba Noodles-=- Emphasis on the sesame here. It's good for your standard cold dish, and everyone should try it atleast once, but I did not fall in love with it enough to want it again.

Great macro cafe with outdoor seating and a breakfast menu (till 11:30 M-F and 3 on weekends). The food is great and healthy. A few parking spots on site.

Great sushi and the occasional entree here is good but everything is so expensive and never truly mind-blowing. Still it's a good place that's worth visiting especially if you're down with macrobiotic cuisine. Eye-opening in that respect. Their ketchup is amazing too.

very hit or miss, trying to hard to be healthy at the expense of taste. also service can be deplorable as phone orders seem to take precedence over actual live customers.
