I love, love, love all things crafts! In particular scrapbooking and cardmaking. And on occasion baking, when a cake is part of the plan!
I have been paper crafting for about 16 years, and started after our son matthew passed away after 9 days. Our counselor offered journaling aa a way to help cope with our feelings and loss. In he process of writing, wanting to preserve the few pictures we had of him became more important to us. So scrapbooking was he next step! I love preserving our families memories, and my motto is, "if it's not in the scrapbook, it didn't happen!" I am a 6 year cancer survivor, and most recently a heart patient, receiving a new pig valve to replace my aortic valve last August! I live in Maryland, about 30 min from Washington and Baltimore. With my husband of 17 years and 13 year old daughter. We have a large family who all live close by and we have embraced all the animals my 13 year old has brought into our life, including a horse, Ziggy, 2 dogs, and 2 guinea pigs! We are deeply imbedded in the community and love living in a Howard County where we do volunteer work for a Meals on Wheels, 4-H, Pony Club, the Maryland Open Horse a Show Series and Helping Hands for the Homeless, a volunteer group associated with our local Catholic Church and Our Daily Bread....we are in the process of renovating our home that we have lived in for 15 years, and I am jockeying for a new larger craft room! And are super excited for summer and warm weather to come. My hope is that I will be able to post all my crafting photos here and keep you up to date on the on goings of our crazy life that we love so much and are so happy and blessed to have!
