Developers, start your 64-bit engines. The x86 64-bit Android L developer preview emulator image is now available. Building 64-bit apps on Android enables you to access:
* Increased addressable memory space
* A larger number of registers
* New instruction sets

Apps built in Java will automatically gain these benefits, with no changes to existing code. Apps built on other languages, built with the Android NDK r10b [0], can compile for 64-bit architectures to access the features listed above. 64-bit apps can be built by including x86_64 in the build target or use the catch all APP_ABI=all64 in your Application.mk.

With the release of the x86 64-bit emulator, you can start testing your 64-bit apps today.

It breaks my heart, too. Mozilla will now include support for proprietary DRM, a remarkable step away from its dedication to free and open software.

+Sen. Rand Paul talked about a lot of good things, among them:

1. How the collection of everyone's phone records is equivalent to the general warrants issued by the British, and that sparked the American revolution. This was something Americans fought hard against.

2. The rigidity caused by Washington's top-down approach to educational policies. Paul would give more freedom and choice to the students, teachers and officials at the local level.

3. The failed drug war and it's disproportionate impact on minorities. He made it clear that he doesn't approve of drug use, but he also doesn't support ruining people's lives over a mistake. He praised the President for granting clemency/commuting sentences of people who got mandatory sentences.
