Last week my husband and I agreed sitting for a family member (Rico- golden retriever male, intact, over a year old). We have two dogs of our own (Rudy-Jack Russell/Pitbull mix, male, intact, almost 2 years old) and (Rupert-French Bulldog, male, intact 2 1/2 years old). These three dogs have met plently of times before in our house and also at the dog park together. No other time did they show aggression towards one another.

During the week Rico bit at Rupert on his ear and has two big gashes because of it. Later in the week we noticed that Rudy started to also growl and bark at Rupert following Rico's lead.

Rico left on Saturday morning, during Saturday our two dogs were fine, however on Sunday during the day it started all over again. First they were fine sleeping on the couch together, ate together, but during the afternoon/ early evening Rudy started to snarl, growl and eventually attacked Rupert. This behavior continued thru the night and we seperated them for sleeping.

Now that its Monday - we are still facing this problem and Rudy attacked Rupert after their potty breaks this morning.
I am a work from home employee thankfully so I am here all day wit them.

I called the vet and they said to keep them separate and take them both for a long walk today to release any unreleased energy. We plan to do this today. Hopefully that will calm them back down.

I called also a behavioral trainer and they haven't gotten back to me yet but i'm just so scared that one is going to seriously hurt the other.

Any suggestions please let me know as I dont know where else to turn.
