Cowboys International - The Original Sin, Virgin records, c.1979
I have neglected this blog for far too long. 2015 has seen me buy a brand new turntable, a Denon DP 200 USB , for anyone who's interested. Not the highest spec by a long way, but it does the job nicely and has reignited my passion for vinyl. Most of 2015 ha...

A return Urban Wander around Bath
I have blogged about Bath before, particularly the abundance of  ghost signs in Bath , but only really explored the city centre and immediate area on that visit. So, with time on our hands we wandered a little way out of the centre, not too far mind, and we...

If This is Not an Exercise, Could it be a Drill ... an evening with Wire
Today's post is a bit of a departure from my usual psychogeography inspired, urban wanderings, but I had to share my experience from last night. More years ago than I care to remember, a good friend of mine brought in a copy of his brother's Pink Flag album...

More years ago than I care to remember, a good friend of mine brought in a copy of his brother's Pink Flag album by Wire. To say I was blown away would ...

Wire are undoubtedly one of the few bands that evolved out of the punk/avante garde who still sound as much like they did yesterday, today.

A couple of brief Urban Wanders in and around Kensington, London

Story
Introduction
Avid music listener and collector since the late 1970's. I like all sorts of genres ... punk, post-punk, new wave, industrial, ambient, krautrock, alternative, indie, goth ... naturally I have quite a few items I no longer need in physical format, so here's a link to my records and CDs for sale

I'm also interested in most things vintage, and have 100's of vintage postcards for sale and vintage magazines for sale

Having grown up in one of the London suburbs, I'm also interested in John Betjeman, J.G.Ballard, London suburbs, Avengerland (Borehamwood area where the classic 1960's and 1970's TV shows were filmed).
