A couple of brief Urban Wanders in and around Kensington, London
Well, another few weeks of radio silence. No one specific reason, just lots going on. Rather than this blog post being on a specific topic, it’s going to ramble around a bit. First up are a couple of pictures I took a few weeks back of one of the disused pl...

If This is Not an Exercise, Could it be a Drill ... an evening with Wire

Wire are undoubtedly one of the few bands that evolved out of the punk/avante garde who still sound as much like they did yesterday, today.

Apologies for the absence of posts over the past couple of weeks, it's all been a bit manic for various reasons that I won't go into here, but I'm back now with some tales from the river bank. The River Thames between Benson and Shillingford, Oxfordshire to be precise.

I Think I've Hit My Mid-life Crisis - a Vinyl Obsession
So, as I alluded to in my previous blog post, I seem to have hit my mid-life crisis. Whilst I haven't ruled out getting a ridiculously fast car, or running off with someone half my age, my crisis seems to have centred itself around an obsession for vinyl. H...

Story
Introduction
Avid music listener and collector since the late 1970's. I like all sorts of genres ... punk, post-punk, new wave, industrial, ambient, krautrock, alternative, indie, goth ... naturally I have quite a few items I no longer need in physical format, so here's a link to my records and CDs for sale

I'm also interested in most things vintage, and have 100's of vintage postcards for sale and vintage magazines for sale

Having grown up in one of the London suburbs, I'm also interested in John Betjeman, J.G.Ballard, London suburbs, Avengerland (Borehamwood area where the classic 1960's and 1970's TV shows were filmed).
