Announcing: My New Free & Open-Source HDR Tutorial!
I am extremely excited
to announce my new Free & Open-Source HDR Tutorial!
I’ve been working on this bad boy for quite some time; lots of you have messaged and emailed me, asking how I get my photos to look the way I do… and now that knowledge is available! For free! Forever.
rad about this tutorial is that the photos are processed using 100% organic, free and open-source software.
That means it’s, of course, free of cost but also you’re free to modify the software exactly how you want. Furthermore, as it’s open-source, you are free to examine the inner guts of the software as much as you like and, should you wish to, you can modifications or even contribute advancements to the software yourself! You don’t need to worry about the cost of forced upgrades or deliberate obsolescence. It’s yours.
As ever, if you have any
questions about my tutorial and any of the techniques described within, by all means get in touch! Message me here on www.lightsweep.co.uk
, get in touch with me here on Google+, Twitter, Flickr, Pinterest or even 500px! I will try to get back to you as soon as I can. =)Head to the LightSweep Free and Open-Source HDR Tutorial! -> http://goo.gl/rxYyT0Today’s Photo: In The Face of Buttertubs
Along with our visit and shooting of Hardraw Force
when exploring around Hawes, +Lisabet Woods-Jack
and I also took the opportunity to ride up the Buttertubs Pass!
This is a mountain pass that runs between Wensleydale,
where Hawes is located, and Swaledale:
home of such treasures as Keld.
The name is quite peculiar; it references the 20ft deep limestone sink holes that can be found off the roadside near the summit. These were formed when acidic water wore away at the carboniferous limestone and then rainwater finished the job off. Legend has it that dairy farmers travelling between Wensleydale and Swaledale via this pass on sunny days would put their tubs of butter and dairy in the sink holes to keep them cool. Gotta love North English folklore. =)Please help me and support my continued journey around Britain by ordering prints of this photo! -> http://goo.gl/JnpHJG #HDR #LandscapePhotography #Sunset #Winter #YorkshireDales #ButtertubsPass #Snow #MountainPhotos #HDRTutorial #FreeTutorial #UKPhotographyCommunity
