45 years ago today I promoted Led Zeppelin at the Civic Arena. A situation involving backstage beverages resulted in one of my most bizarre experiences of my career. Blame it on Dom. Pérignon, that is. Visit this link to my site to read more.

Today in DiCesare-Engler history: The Firm performed at the Civic Arena on March 27, 1986. This British supergroup featured lead guitarist Jimmy Page of Yardbirds / Led Zeppelin fame, former Free / Bad Company singer Paul Rodgers, former Uriah Heep / Manfred Mann's Earth Band drummer Chris Slade, and bass player Tony Franklin. Formed in 1984, The Firm released two albums before disbanding in 1986. During performances, Page and Rodgers refused to play any of the songs recorded by their former bands, opting to play original Firm songs, plus numbers from their respective solo LPs. Were you at the show?

Dear friends, please take a moment to read a short piece I wrote about a brave little guy named Nate Fannell who's in need of some support. I've met lots of famous rock stars, but Nate's courage and determination make him a far bigger star in my book.
