I`m confused? We supported Bin Laden in 80`s Afghanistan and then he was evil. We supported Saddam in 80`s Iraq and then he was evil. We went to war in Afghanistan 14 years ago and the Taliban is still evil? Some of the World removed Saddam from power 12 years ago and now Iraq is chaos. We remove Gaddafi from power in Libya and now Libya is chaos? Some of the World funded ISIS because Assad was evil. Now ISIS is more evil than Assad! Now I`m really confused and a little scared? So maybe the man was right and we should "Give Peace a Chance"!! Maybe we could try that for a change since we haven`t accomplished much so far??

After a few Pale Ales at the "Backstage Lounge" on Granville Island, Vancouver the light begins to offer new perspective from a beautiful city.

An old look in the new city. Is this a little history or is it the future?

Walking the city streets in search of the light I often forget to look up. Sometimes the best part of life is reaching for the clouds and I like a city in the sky. More of Toronto.

I just attended an excellent workshop on "Urban Photography" put on in Toronto by Richard Hulbert. The 4 day shoot and learn workshop was sponsored by Nikonians. Richard teaches principles of architecture and art as applied to our photography. He throws in a mix of street photography, travel photography and HDR with some serious hands on attention. It was great and I`m seeing Toronto in a very new perspective! Now I can`t wait to shoot Vancouver. So many cities and so little time.

Bangkok can be nectar for the night Gods with so many choices and so little time. It can be sunsets at LeBua state tower, dinner cruise on the Chayo Praya River, a stop at Soi Cowboy, touring the night market at Patpong or crawling night clubs till you wake up with a tattoo on your face? But this time we dug in at the Hilton Millennium (got a decent rate online) and set the tripod up on the rooftop bar. One more "night in Bangkok".

I watched Scott Kelby and Matt Kloskowski dissing our need to shoot 'train tracks" on "The Grid" (great show!) and I get it. They`re so right but then I had to go against the grain and take a photo down at the Hua Hin, Thailand, Railway Station. Old habits are hard to break in faraway lands but I`ll learn eventually.
