After what I feel has been dozens of chances for her to get herself straight, Audrey has crossed the line and went so far as to steal money from me. Money that she KNEW was earmarked for rent and utilities incurred by her. Callous, yes.
But, if any of you are familiar with my family, you will recall that as kindhearted and forgiving as we are, we DO NOT abide people who steal drugs or money from us. We love our friends and family and we do what we can to help, but if you steal drugs or money from us, that is the end. Coming back from that will take years.
If you hear from my wife, wish her well, but do nothing further. What I'm doing, where I am, who I've been seeing.. these are not details my friends should be disclosing to her. She needs to figure out how to be an adult and get over her problems, and unfortunately, she has to do it alone and homeless in a large metropolitan area. She may die, and this would be sad, of course.. but we can't all live. Survival of the fittest means that only the strong and capable survive. She needs to be strong, now, if she wants to survive. No one can help her but herself.
