As part of her work, research, and scholarship in developing soft skills and social intelligence around career-readiness in school-aged children, Dr. Suzan Wasik lead efforts in bringing the Odyssey of the Mind program to Magellan Charter School this year.
Four teams from Magellan Charter School attended the OM regional tournament on Saturday where 150 other teams competed.
One team won 3rd place and another won 2nd place and will now be going to the State competition in 3 weeks.
The kids had a lot of fun learning creativity, long-term problem solving, and collaboration, while developing social-emotional intelligence in the Odyssey of the Mind program - all skills necessary for career success in the workplace.
