Definitely not a daily dinner kind of place for most of us -- if only because of the final bill you get. :) But I had a perfect evening with a perfect dinner here, and for special occasions, this place is definitely among the few at the top of my list. The food is not only delicious but the presentation beautiful as well, elevating a meal to a more artistic experience. If that sounds pretentious, this place is not. I meant it as a compliment on how serious they take their cooking. Service is professional and prompt. Highly recommend.

My friends took me here for a birthday brunch and it rocked! Great food, ambiance and attentive service. Prospect was rated as one of the top brunch places and I can see why. Will have to go back for dinner.

The food at Prospect is nothing memorable. I had the duck and the skin was not crispy and I ended up only eating half of it. The service was ok, I felt like our table of 8 needed to flag down a waiter to get a refill on water. Prospect has a really good mixologist, so I recommend coming for drinks at the bar. Note - Prospect is located at a random corner and the street is super busy during 5-7 since this street leads to the Bay Bridge entrance. Park on Main or the Embarcadero and walk over. (there is also Valet parking available)

A very swanky place with lots of suits. Even though it might seem a bit pretentious, the food was in fact very very good. I had the crab bisque and kobe bavatte. The kobe was extremely tender and juicy, perfectly well cooked and the bisque is seasoned well. Great attentive service as well. Prices obviously isnt cheap for a place like this but good to try it once.

I had the odd fortune of going to both Prospect and Boulevard in the same week. And I gotta say, I liked Prospect better. I find the service better, for one. And to be fair, I went to Prospect first... which therefore meant I was let down when a few days later I saw many VERY similar dishes on the menu at Boulevard (same bases in terms of meat for almost all the mains). Additionally, I have been to Prospect on several occasions for happy hour and the place is always a hit - great cocktails, decent by-the-glass wine list, and tasty apps. Save room for dessert if you stay for dinner! The icecream sandwiches are out of this world.

Chic, modern and airy, Prospect has imaginative fine food and friendly attentive service. If you can't get a table, try its sister restaurant Boulevard just a couple of blocks away and you won't be disappointed.
