Professor Billy Wood sent photos of his students who are taking the Maymester class in Freiburg, Germany. The students are in class 4 days a week and travel and explore the area 3 days a week. These were taken in the Black Forest and at a restaurant in Himmelreich.

Dr. Donglei Fan's Ph.D. students in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, Kwanoh Kim, Jianhe Guo and Xiaobin Xu, have designed smaller, faster more durable nanomotors which may someday be used in medicine at the cellular level for drug delivery and powering nanorobots.

Graduate student Andrew Gilbert and Assistant Professor Mark Deinert at The University of Texas at Austin in the Mechanical Engineering's Nuclear and Radiation Program were recently published in the journal Nature for their work developing a method to detect small amounts of radioactive materials in layered objects, such as airport luggage.
