Did they call that study the "Bruce Almighty" study? Seems to me that if prayer is going to help it would be those from someone who knows and truely cares about a person, not just some random prayers from random people with no frame of refrence. I'd also have to ask if the 59% of people who suffered greater complications did so because they were less likely to report lesser troubles that led to the complications. That article was far to short to answer questions and was mostly just trying to thumb religion in the eye. Maybe that was by design to get people to read the study that's going in the journals. In any event, the religious peps will dismiss it saying you cant study religion with science, and the science peps will argue that it disproves religion. Seems like a moot point. You have faith or you don't. Science is not going to sway someone who believes. Maybe that's why believers can be so dangerous, or atleast that's what I got from watching "Serenity."
