Sure glad I didn't read these reviews before going or I might have missed a heavenly meal! Three of us went to the Mishawaka, Indiana Papa Vino's location last night for the first time. I frankly wasn't expecting much as I'm usually not a huge fan of Italian food. All three of us LOVED the food. We shared our dishes because we wanted to see what each item tasted like. I got the rib steak, medium, with crispy onions and mushrooms and Tuscan potatoes. Excellent! One of my friends got a chicken dish and the other got manicotti. We all liked everything! After eating, we each ordered dessert - one Italian cream cake, one gelato, and one chocolate cake with chocolate and vanilla pudding/cream inside and a chocolate ganache frosting. Loved those as well. I am very picky. I can hardly wait to return and will bring my husband with me next time. The only negative is that service was somewhat slow - although our waitress was friendly and attentive. Still, the food was so darned good that there is no way I'm deducting a point for that. Worth the wait!!

My wife and I finally tried this place after talking about it for years. They have a really nice atmosphere and all of the staff is friendly. I had the rigatoni al forno which was amazing. My wife had the fettuccine alfredo which she said was good as well. I had a tiramisu, my favorite dessert, but their version wasn't very good. Really it was the only thing keeping it from 5 stars.

The salmon was incredible and the service was outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Ate at Papa Vino's tonight and what I had and my mother had was pretty bad; very poor quality. I had the Eggplant Parmesan and it was all breading and very greasy. I tried to pull the breading away from the eggplant and when I did it was as thin as a piece of paper. Found out they buy it that way from a vendor so it isn't even fresh. My mother had Veal Marsella and the veal was just full of gristle. It was almost impossible to cut and chewing it was a chore. The service was fine and I like the atmosphere, however, I think they better up their QC on the food. A real disappointment! I am not sure I will ever go back. There were three others in our dinner party and their food was fine.

Food was okay, service was horrible. Will not return and will tell everyone I know that has children not to go since there are no changing tables for infiants and toddlers. No changing stations in either bathroom.

Consistently comes through with great food and service. A real family favorite, and we also like the fact that each restaurant is locally owned and the pride in that goes a long way in customer service and attention to detail. Highly recommend it!

Food poor, service worse; ordered a "special" then had to ask for the pasta that came with dish. Food not fresh and overly seasoned with salt/pepper. Olive Oil heavy, sub par quality...more like motor oil. Asked for dessert and got final check instead...waitress said we were drinking wine for our dessert! Olive Garden has higher quality!!

Favorite place for me and the wife. We split a papa salad and sizalini and get out for under 25 bucks.
