Great for those who have a gluten sensitivity! I first went for brunch around 10am on a Sunday, and it was good. I was limited because I also can't have dairy, but I was still able to have a few items from the buffet. Their lunch menu was much larger when I went the second time (around 1pm on a Sunday) with lots of gluten free and dairy free items to choose from. We were a little bummed that we had arrived around 12:40pm that day and had earlier been told on the phone that seating ended for brunch at 12:45... but when we got there we were told they were already closing down brunch. Anyway, food is good, so might as well try it :)

Did the breakfast buffet. Really great. Made to order eggs were super and the staff very friendly! We all loved the French toast.

Don't come between the 12:30 and 1pm. awkward transition away from breakfast. Great with food allergies, even the breakfast/brunch buffet. Brunch was good if you come at an earlier time.

My family and I decided to try somewhere new, for us, and chose to visit Ernie's Pub and Grill. We arrived and the restaurant was completely empty - which made us nervous, but we were eating a tad early for dinner, so we thought maybe it picks up closer to the dinner hour. As we entered we saw used bar-stools for sale in the vestibule - another bad sign of what was to come... We were greeted promptly and were given a table. Our server was very nice, and did a good job taking care of us during our meal - the quality of service was the only positive aspect of this visit. That being said, I'll skip to the food... As you might have guessed by the tone of this review, the food was terrible. Beyond terrible infact. First we tried the potstickers which were so inundated with soy-sauce they were barely edible, and the sauce that accompanied the dish was so salty it had to be more soy-sauce. The Calamari was over-breaded and also over seasoned as well. For dinner we ordered the fajita tacos which were extremely over seasoned with, what tasted like, over rthe counter taco seasoning. These tacos were so over seasoned they were barely edible. I ordered a burger with olives and blue cheese crumbles on top. The bun was obviously not freshly made. The patty was also obviously frozen and not fresh. Oh and this too was over salted. The waffle fries were good, as was the seasoned sour-cream (which they named "sexy sauce"). As for the decor.. I'll simply say it wasn't good... But I really was unhappy with their shirts... The back of their shirts read "My boss gets unhappy when I shorten his name to Dick... His name is John." Totally inappropriate for a family themed restaurant in my opinion. Furthermore, while I found the seasoned sour cream to be quite good, the term "sexy sauce" is also tip-toeing the line. That being said, fixing neither of these points will address the main issue of this restaurant - which was the atrocisly bad food. Do not visit this restaurant.

We went to Ernie's for brunch and to put it simply, we were not happy with the service, particularly from the manager. We made reservations because we were planning on a party of 11, but unfortunately 2 people couldn't make it and when we told them that we had 9, the manager was really rude. He said that we should have called in advance and they were turning other large parties away because of us. I was surprised that he had the nerve to say that just because we went from 11 to 9, but I shook it off thinking that maybe he was just stressed out. We then started eating, and the food was ok and what you would expect. On a trip to the buffet line, I heard a woman telling the manager that they were out of French toast. She asked if they were making more. The manager then replied, and I quote "you know what I say when people tell me how to do my job?" I had to do a double take when I heard that. I used to work at a restaurant, and I would never have said something like that to and/or in front of a customer. The woman didn't know what to say and I just watched the manager laugh like it was a joke and said that more would be out soon. Then, there was a group that walked into the restaurant and thought the bar was open seating so they went to sit down. After they got settled, the manager went over to them and said that they were extremely busy (which I doubt because there were several open tables in the restaurant) and that they could not just seat themselves. His tone was very rude and after they started grabbing their coats to get up, he said, "you know what, never mind, that table is open" but told them that next time they should wait by the hostess stand. Later on in the meal, he went to this same table while they were eating and made them stand up so that he could move the table over a few inches. The group had to stop mid meal and get up. I expect that a restaurant could wait until the table turns over before making people get up to move the table a few inches over. Over and over this manager made customers feel like they were doing something wrong or making them feel bad. I could go on, but I think I've made my point that it was not an enjoyable experience. Go somewhere else and you will have a much more enjoyable time.

Food is usually very good, beer selection is phenomenal. Last time I was here though they kind of rushed the food out and the steak was a little mushy. Otherwise, every time I have been here I have completely enjoyed myself. Every time I stay in Burnsville I eat here

Bummer, Ian! My apologies! Was this last evening? I'd like to be able to complete a thorough follow-up. If you wouldn't mind, I'd love to learn more. Can you send me an email (use "contact us" on website) and let me know what you ordered, who the server was, the approximate time & date and I'll be sure that the "rush" that you experienced does not become the norm. Thank you so much!!!

I was there for brunch this past Sunday and found the service, especially the manager on duty, to be deplorable. It's too bad- the food was great, but the staff left a bad taste in my mouth! There are many excellent eating establishments in the area that will treat you much more respectably and have much better food!

The food here was ABSOLUTELY amazing, melt in your mouth delicious! If you are Gluten Free, they have mouth watering entrees cooked on a separate griddle and clearly labeled on the menu. The service was amazing. My drink was refilled before I noticed it was empty. The entire family loved it, from the adults to the children. Highly recommend. This is my new favorite restaurant in Burnsville.
