Having selected Garlic Presses for room 101 +Julie Wills put me on to this device, The Garlic Twist.

Not so much a press as a mincer. It takes but a few twists of the two parts to chop up the cloves of garlic. Sometimes a sliver will stick to the side but can soon be poked back into the blades with a teaspoon. It does however overcome my main complaint about presses which is the amount of waste and how hard they are to clean. The large open nature of the Twist means that I can get small silicone spatula in to scrape out the garlic and use a washing up brush to clean it. It's not perfect but I now use nothing else.
