College affordability becomes the mainstream, crowd-pleasing middle-class issue of the moment, like homeownership or Social Security or health care in previous eras. 
Her plan — stuffed with ideas that have been brought up by other presidential candidates, like free tuition and more affordable loan repayment — moves away from the dorms-and-tailgates stereotype.

If there’s an argument against giving Pell grants to prisoners that particularly galls Education Secretary Arne Duncan, it’s the suggestion by some that the Obama administration is taking money intended for hard-working students and giving it to criminals. 
“Having an inmate receive Pell grants doesn’t take a nickel from anybody else,” Education Secretary Arne Duncan says.

Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton, seeks $350 billion over 10 years to encourage public 4-year colleges to be debt-free for tuition, and to make community colleges tuition-free. The plan also proposes cuts in interest rates and tougher regulation of for-profits.

For the past two years the Obama administration has been working on a way to rate colleges based on their accessibility, affordability and student success. But recently, the administration declared that it would no longer pursue the ratings system. And college presidents everywhere breathed a sigh of relief.

Space filled up so quickly for the AACRAO IES Summer Institute for International Admissions that another will be held in the fall to accommodate the demand. 
The 22nd Annual Summer Institute for International Admissions, hosted by AACRAO International Education Services (IES), took place at the Marriott-Georgetown July 13th through July 17th, 2015. This year's training included over 80 professionals in the field of international admissions.
