Yay! Summer is officially here...and that means plenty of meals cooked on the grill outside. However did you also know that with the advent of summer, comes a rise in accidental home fires because of using that grill improperly.

Last Thursday in Wisconsin, there were 2 statewide tornado drills.  The goal was to get folks thinking about how to plan in the event this was a real tornado.  If you are not sure what or how to plan for a tornado, our blog post is a great starting place.

Represented 14 percent of the United States population but suffered 36 percent of all fire deaths.

Had a 2.5 times greater risk of dying in a fire than the total population.
Ages 85 and over were 3.6 times more likely to die in a fire than the total population.
