#reshare  HI! Oh wow. 10 months later, and I see so many of my friends! I missed you guys. I have come to see who is doing #campnanowrimo . While I'm here, instead of going on and on about where're I've been, I figured I'd share my resent blog post that includes all the updates...including the birth of my little one that last I was here was still smaller than the palm of my hand and had months to go before he arrived. I added a picture to show how big he is already at 3 months :)

So, spill it! How the hell is everyone?

NaNoWriMo: Good Idea, Bad Idea

Good idea: trying to go back to school, learn your fiance's language, and enjoy NaNoWriMo with your daughters and their friends.

Bad idea: taking a physics class, taking an Anatomy and Physiology class, taking a Greek language class, be a stay at home mom of 3 kids (including a 4 year old), being pregnant, working part time from home, being an ML for 6 kids for NaNoWriMo, AND trying to do NaNoWriMo myself.

I am over 40k words behind. It's the most horrible feeling in the entire world to not have ONE hour a day to even pretend to find time to write. But...I'm still going to try REALLY REALLY hard to get there. I need to for the story and for myself.

Besides, I may explode if I don't make it, and no one wants to clean up my splat in this house.

How's everyone else doing?

My First NaNoWriMo With My NaNoNites!!

Last year my little Anastasia (who was 7) wrote 1,000 words for her first NaNoWriMo. She rocked it!! All of her friends were around her when she hit her word count, and we all celebrated together. It was a huge moment!! (I even posted a video.)

And every friend that was there wanted to do NaNoWriMo this year. Today there was no school, so I took them all to the library. We talked word count, signed up online to keep track, and played games for our Kick-off. Before we left, 3 of the 5 had hit their daily word count.

I'm so stupidly proud!! They are all so pumped, and I'm excited to officially be my own ML!

I can't wait to see how well everyone awesome!!

Oh and ages...8, 8, 11, 11 and 12. We have another joining us, but she couldn't today. Get it kids!

#NaNoWriMo Day One: Complete

Okay, so I wrote for just under an hour and FLEW THROUGH my Day 1 word count.

Can I just say holy crap Pantsing was easy?

I know I only said that now because 1) I haven't written anything creative in months, so I know the juices are backed up and 2) this is only Day 1...not Day 25....

But, I'm still going to enjoy my victory of Pantsing continuously for an hour. Now to start my day for real...oh man, is it really 10am already???

Good luck my fellow NaNoNites!

#NaNoWriMo Idea Found!

Well, it's 8:52am right now; and since I decided I'm Pantsing this year, I didn't put any thought into my writing idea UNTIL NOW.

I went back and checked my previous quick note ideas that I've added to my Evernote App over the years, and one got me very excited.

Kids are at soccer, dog is at my feet...let's do this!

NaNoWriMo 2014

Okay, who said NaNoWriMo could be in less than a week? I must say I feel very unprepared this year, but that's for a specific reason....

I decided to write a way that I have never EVER written before...WITHOUT AN OUTLINE.

If you all know me, you know that an outline is like a blueprint of epic and very needed proportions. But every year I'm so impressed by you writers that write without an outline. So I decided to take it even a step further. I'm not even grabbing an idea. I'm just going to write and see what the hell comes out...

What do you think NaNoNites, am I completely crazy? And who else is joining me?

New Story Idea?

So...I have a story idea, but I need opinions. It's actually an idea that I had a long time ago and wanted to write with my father and sister. We three had always been very close since it had only been the three of us. We talked about writing a book where we each of us would write our side of how we felt and what we experienced surrounding the same, specific topic that happened in our lives.

For example, my father has diabetes his whole life and then my sister later got it at 18, so one chapter would be about their thoughts, and I would write about how I took care of them.

But, the problem...the three of us are no longer all...and we each live in different states, besides.

BUT BUT, I still want to write the book. I know the style of writing that both my father and sister least I can mimic something close to it. I am thinking I should write the book anyway. The only difference may be about the topics. I don't know if I should write what I think they thought....I'm not sure.

Thoughts? Comments? Opinions?

The Simple Things

Darian looked over at her feet under the table. She had removed her sandals and had placed her bare feet on the smooth, laminate wooden floor. The curve of her feet from heel to toe had him secretly staring. He was watching her from under his eyelashes as she pressed her feet against the floor and shifted her toes back and forth. It was as if she was caressing the cool surface and enjoying the feeling against her skin.

Darian couldn’t help himself as he watched, mesmerized by the small motion that made her even more beautiful to him. He glanced quickly at her face and could see the trace of a slight, pleased smile. Watching such a small movement that truly seemed to make her happy made his heart beat faster. His heart warmed at the pure joy she seemed to be feeling.

How could someone be so happy by such a simple piece of life?

As she looked over at him to ask a question, he buried his eyes back into the paperwork in front of him, hoping she hadn’t seen him staring.

#DigitalBookDay  went rather well!
(Thank you +Karen Woodward and +John Ward for sharing about it.)

I downloaded all of the Mystery, Sci-Fi/Fantasy and the Thrillers (mind you, I didn't look at all of the summaries, so I may or may not even read some of them, but a free book is a free book).

It took a good long while, and I have 81 books directly added to my Kindle...with another 42 .mobi and PDFs needing to be uploaded to my Kindle, 4 added to my Kobo account and 3 downloaded into iBooks....

That means I just got 130 Books for FREE!!!!!!
Good day...great day...amazing day.

So happy....
Did anyone else make out with some good books?

The love of my life (and my muse) surprised me with one of the most meaningful and amazing gifts ever....a writing desk. It took months to give my attention to it when we moved, but I'm happy to say it's gorgeously ready for creative projects. Thank you Lovey.
