Sunil Kr Ghosh: Absolute Fulfilment

Corinthians 2:9 <http://biblia.com/bible/esv/1%20Corinthians%202.9>
God’s Decision
The Father could not have conceived of anything more to save the children
of men. He foreknew all that would trust in Jesus, and chose them before
the world began. He preordained that those chosen would be conformed into
the likeness of His Son.. and God took the responsibility to save us body,
soul and spirit by grace – thru faith. God Himself decided He would save
us totally – for we could not save ourselves, and every promise of God is
yours by grace – simply because you trusted His Word.
God’s Grace
He redeemed and enlightened us, and opened up to us the mystery of His
will. He took upon Himself the responsibility to change us to be just like
Christ. He even adopts us as His own children, and has scheduled a date for
our adoption. His Spirit sealed us as His purchased possession – to protect
us from all harm. He accepted us in His beloved Son – making us His church,
His body and His bride. He gave us the indwelling Sprit to guarantee His
genuineness and seal of ownership. He gave us a glorious inheritance and
made us joint-heirs with the Lord Jesus Christ,
Christ’s Righteousness
The Father could not have lavished more grace on the undeserving children
of men. We are in Christ – complete in Him – accepted in Him, and our
reward is in Him. But God desired that whosoever will may come – not one
sinner need be excluded..for all who trust in His name will be saved. He
ensured that all who trust in Him can know undeniably they’re secure in
Christ, for our security does not rely on our righteousness but the
righteousness of Christ.

Sunil Kr Ghosh: *The steps of a man are established by the LORD, and He delights in his
way.*
Psalm 37:23 (NASB) <http://biblia.com/bible/nasb95/Psalm%2037.23>
[image: Psalm 37-23 The Lord Establishes the Steps of a Man copy]
Thoughts on Today’s Verse
God gives His people both provision and protection – and though to the
casual eye this may not always seem to reflect the bitter circumstances of
life through which many Christians have to pass today, God’s provision and
protection is established in the eternal realms. However it is also true to
say that although this heavenly provision and protection is eternally
secure for all God’s people, many stand witness to His miraculous hand at
work, in the everyday challenges and difficulties of life, through which we
all have to pass.
We read that the steps of a man are established by the Lord, and the word
established means that they are ordered, secured and established by our
Father in heaven. Nothing on the earth below nor in the heavens above can
cause the steps of those that have been made righteous through Jesus Christ
to stray so far or to fall so heavily, that God in His grace will not reach
down and to pick us up – indeed we are told by Jude that He is able to keep
us from stumbling, so that we will one day stand in the presence of His
glory – blameless and with great joy.
The Lord establishes our steps is because He loves His children and
delights to be our Provider, our Protector and our Establisher – not only
in this life but in the eternal realms to come – which are reserved for us
in heaven.
My Prayer
Thank You Father that my steps are ordered by You and that You take delight
in establishing the way I should and are able keep me from falling. Help me
to set my heart on things above, knowing that Christ is, seated at the
right hand of God as my eternal Provider who delights to order my way and
establish the path I take, in Jesus name I pray, AMEN

Many a salty saints of God have experienced times of silence.. times when
the Lord seems to have turned His face away – often for months or even
years at a time. And through the silence you cry out in anguish to receive
His near presence.. and yet He answers not a word, and He remains silent
and still. Sometimes despite our deep anguish His withdrawal is most

Spiritual Parable
I once heard a beautiful “*story*” of three women in prayer.. not a true
story of course, but a story with a lovely thought behind it:- Each women
knelt in worshipful prayer before the throne of grace.. and Jesus drew near
to them. As He approached the first of the three.. He lovingly bent over
her with great tenderness and grace. His eyes were full of tender love for
her. His smile expressed His radiant pleasure in her. He spoke to her
with a voice of sweetest music and purest gentleness. He kissed her bowed
head and spoke sweet words of love. Leaving the first woman the Lord moved
to the second. He placed His hand on her head, giving a precious look of
loving approval.. and His eyes shining out His delight and loving approval
of her devotion. He then passed the third woman in prayer – with hardly a
sidewards glance.
Incorrect Interpretation
The one observing the proceedings wondered greatly:- Why so different an
approach with these three women in prayer? How dearly He must love the
first.. she must indeed engender most favour. And

“The idea is very common amongst Christians that it is a great and
wonderful thing to be mightily used of God.’ Oh, to be a great evangelist!
Oh, to be a great teacher!’ That is an entirely false conception. The truth
is that those who serve the Lord most, truly go through the deepest
suffering. You may have a more or less easy time. I do not want to
dishearten you by saying it may not always be so but if you really want to
be greatly used of the Lord remember it may be by a deeper discipline of
the Lord.” -T. A-S.
“Many have lived under blue skies from birth. To such I have a word. It is
this: Fear not; no lover of our Lord will be overlooked. He knows where to
find His willing hearts. Just give Him time. He will not refuse to His
dearest the joy that is bathed in the dews of Gethsemane.” -A.C.
“He shall not cry nor strive, nor let His voice be heard in the street.’
There are very few servants of the Lord Jesus who, Samson-like, could kill
a lion without letting everybody know of it. They would like a little
notice of some kind. But the Lord Jesus made no parade; He would not have
His good deeds blazed abroad. His doctrine dropped as the rain from heaven,
and His speech as the gentle dew. He charged them that they should tell no
man of His service. Verily, Thou art a God that hidest Thyself.’ May we be
willing to be hid, and to have our work known only by its effects, doing it
not unto men, but unto our Father in heaven, Who sees in secret and shall
reward us openly.” -E.W.M.
