This is the earliest piece of music that I remember hearing at some point after it was released. I would have been six or seven, still in Germany. It became an earworm of sorts and was still playing in my head in the 1960s after I had moved to Canada. It wasn't until a chance encounter (in 2006) with a cover version that I learned its title and rediscovered who the original was by, and when it came out.

Now, if I could only find out who did the southern-drawl, story-telling (autobio) blues number (last heard circa 1970) with the refrain: "Y'all don’t even know that my name is Mo'."
