Terrific!  It's wonderful to see how much support Heartland has and that someone would come all the way from Ireland to be a part of it!  Makes my decision to go to London, Ontario to see Survivor seem all the more a good idea...why let distance stop you from going somewhere that you really want to be?   I didn't let it stop me when it came to going to England and Germany to attend a wedding, see relatives and meet pen pals face to face!

Last Tuesday was the day of 500 extras on Heartland. Scott Lepp, Heartland's interactive producer, crafted this video of what the fans experienced. Check it out!

A pleasant Sunday....service was good but few stayed afterwards and in fact, coffee hadn't been prepared....Ah well, I'd brought some treats and shared them with those who were interested (cheese and for the sweet tooth: licorice!)....

Work was alright, I felt physically "the best" that I've felt since prior to my hernia operation...Have a great week, everyone!

Shame on The Conservative Party!  They dare to try and destroy the CBC when the CBC is arguably the only good television network in Canada and North America!  CBC is important to Canada, unlike Global or CTV - they being more important to their US sources and to their shareholders (and their employees of course).

I would rather have only the CBC and not the other psuedo-Canadian television networks that often run too much American style/made television.  Down with the pro-American and anti-Canadian, pro-libertarian Conservative Party, they must be thrown out of office at the very next election!

Apparently Dan Albas has been acclaimed for his new riding...I just hope that the electorate will fully reject him and his party when election time rolls around.   Down with the libertarian, anti-Canadian (pro-American) Conservative Party of Canada!

I will have a string of seven shifts in a row, and in between the sixth and seventh will be a spelling bee to raise funds for a good cause...good thing it includes breakfast and lots of hot, steaming coffee or tea! ;-)

On another note, strongly desiring to head east of the Rockies to see...Survivor in concert...but don't take it personally, friends and loved ones on the coast, I've only been waiting almost all my life to see them in concert! ;-)

The concerts would be in two parts of Ontario that I have never traveled in before!   Choices!

The spelling bee went well but my team didn't win this year; it was fun though and a nice time of socializing with good food...

Listening to The Corrs - arguably one of the best musical groups in the world...I rank them with Survivor, Selena, The Ides of March, Triumph, Jewel, The Bangles, Susanna Hoffs and Tanya Tucker!

I've been a fan of the show from first watching it on dvd.  I really appreciate the stories and characters on the show as well as the horses and the magnificent scenery of Alberta.

My horse related experience is rather limited - I went on a trail ride with a group of people I know and that was pleasant if hard on the old frame.  I actually felt better, the next day, than some of the others who had also ridden on the trails.

My uncle has been involved with horses and horse racing and I once visited with him and went to the stables where horses were kept.

My favorite characters are Amy, Ty, Jack, Lisa and Lou - some of my favorite episodes are the big dramatic episodes focusing on Ty and Amy.

I just found this community though I've been on Google+ for quite a while and have been a fan of Heartland for a while...I wasn't one of the fortunate few who started watching from the premiere episode but I had seen ads for the show for a long time, intrigued by them, but it was a while before I walked up to the till and plunked down some cold hard cash for seasons 1 and onward...I became familiar with the show initially and solely through those dvds but now, as time and tv allows, I have also watched new episodes as they aired on CBC plus used the computer features at Heartland's CBC location...I've also seen re-runs online as well as on APTN (Canadian channel)  and I think also on Vision (Canadian channel)...

Just lovely...not...Why is it that some commenters post short hand comments on other people's posts?  For example: "YW"...does that stand for "you're wrong" or "you're weird"?  Someone posted that on one of my comments about a video I shared...it seems common courtesy is not common anymore...!

Changed the profile photo...as it is getting closer to summer and the heat does get pretty high at that time...this isn't my photo though - never having been to Africa nor to India...

A spam email(?) from Shaw claiming that the recipient must click on a link to validate their account!  Fraudulent or what?  I've contacted Shaw at their site and they "promise" a response in 3 days....Unacceptable, it is "monopolies" like Shaw that give businesses a bad name....

I did finally hear from Shaw (more than one rep.  I might add) and they at least confirmed that the email didn't originate with them...

Interesting books: The Ultimate Treasury of Horses written by John Woodward...I'm not sure I accept everything that the author writes (I'm no expert, that is) but it is an interesting history of horses and specific types of horses including at least one featured on Heartland!

Other books: one on Louis Real and the Metis, the book "I am Malala" and a collection of short stories by Alice Munro!
