I usually never write reviews, because I feel places (people) deserve a second chance, but after my first, and surely, last visit to this place, I have decided that they DON'T deserve a second chance. After our order, we waited for 57 minutes for our sushi, and seemingly the place was not packed. When the sushi arrived, the rice was over boiled, and the fish lukewarm, which means that it (the fish) was out for a while. Furthermore, instead of using the normal Japanese rice, they used the cheapest possible rice, which is not suitable for sushi. Our other dish was tempura, which came cold, and that was unacceptable. On top of that, we were sitting on the floor, Japanese style, and surely got bitten several times by insects resembling FLEAS! We ended up paying $80, leaving very unsatisfied, and frustrated. This was supposed to be a great experience, considering how many people rave about this place. My advice - save your money, and go elsewhere.

Best Japanesse restaurant in san antonio. I have been going here for 4 years and every time I am amazed with friendly service and delicious sushi. Highly recommend their Katsudon (pork cutlet) and Japanese dinners. If you want something new, you can always ask for chef's special and you will be pleasantly surprised.

Sushi is quite good. The picture that you see in Google+ page is their Sushi Dinner plate. 5 really big Ngiri pieces plus sides for $19. You can also ask them to cut each piece into 2. I am not a big fan of hand-rolls but they also have a similar hand-roll dinner: 5 giant hand rolls for $19.

BEST IN S.A. I have to eat here at least once a week. Freshest seafood you can find in San Antonio (I have looked) I have lived near the ocean my whole life and fresh seafood has always been part of my diet. After numerious failed attempts to find good seafood in town I stumbled upon Niki's. Ive been forced to eat at other sushi places her in town and non compare. I can even order my favorite delicacy (Abalone). I can eat a five course meal with Tea, Saki, and Beer for half the price of any of the commercialized places. Pat's customer service is second to none and he makes my ol'lady and I feel like part of the family. She doesn't eat fish AT ALL but they are able to cusomize vegitarian dishes just for her taste. This allows me to partake any time I feel the urge with no guilt about satisfying my other half. I feel obligated to recommend this place any chance I get.

Most definitely the best sushi in town, and probably in Texas.
