We’ve had the honor to start co-operation with a new partner organization TIA and we are proud to announce we just received our first volunteer who will start working with TIA during this week.

TIA is a non-profit, Australian based organization working in Cochabamba. TIA is helping children and young people in their transition from state care into independence. Through education and support and by offering new opportunities, TIA is providing young people with necessary tools to become independent and to create better futures for themselves. The mission is to empower 5000 youngsters and by doing so create positive change also in the communities.

TIA was founded in 2009 in Australia and its operations have always been fully volunteer-led and the work here in Bolivia is conducted by Bolivian staff. TIA has developed and collaborated with many projects in the Bolivian community focused on empowering children and young people.

TIA offers volunteer opportunities for instance in social research, fundraising, grant writing and mentoring. Learn more about the organization on their FB page https://goo.gl/AofapR and check out all our volunteering possibilities and how to apply at http://www.sustainablebolivia.org/
