Spending time together as a family is so important and it’s something that we’re guilty of not doing enough. So, when I saw a bucket list idea over on What the Redhead Said blog, I knew we had to join in & make a family bucket list of our own.

Every year we have this habit of making plans together and 9 times out of 10 they fall through. Life gets in the way or money will be short. This year, however, that will not happen! Because I plan to do as much, if not all of these amazing, fun {some on a budget, other’s we’ll save for} things on our list throughout the year.

A new year brings a new start and that also means joining in with the #365project. Basically taking a photo every single day for the entire year and sharing it with you guys. I’m excited about joining in with this project again this year for two reasons; my attempts to join in last year went to the dogs and secondly, photography is a huge focus of mine this year.

If you’re reading this post, welcome! – It’s week 2 of my #developinglife round-up on Instagram and I really should order those balloons I mentioned last week because we’ve hit 11,000!!! I might even have the kids take some photos for me. They’re always pestering me to get their hands on my camera. Even the 3yr old, so you can imagine how my nerves are with that.
Welcome back to week 2 of my developing life round-up for my IG community. We recently reached 11,000 photos, so keep using the #developinglife to join in!

With the shift arrival of 2017, I bring my determined mind to get involved with lots of blog-related things. Things I joined in with last year but faded mid-way through the year. Bad me, I know! But that revelation aside here is my first #LittleLoves post of 2017! This week has seen my kids all go back to school {much to their dismay!} and the birthday preparations have begun for my littlest girl.

Having the children all back to school comes with mixed emotions. On one level I’m sad because I’ve loved having my team at home {the lie-ins were also appealing} and on the other hand, I’m so very happy. I’m a creature that requires routine and having the kids back to school gives me just that.

I’m just going to dive right in and say that I’m not normally a new year resolutions sort of gal. Because, if we’re all completely honest here, how long do we actually keep them up for? Honestly! I know I’ve started health plans or life goals in the past and they’ve never seen March nevermind the end of the year! So this year, for starters, I’m going to be a realist. I’m going to set myself perfectly doable and easy-to-stick-to plans and I’ll cross everything that I can see them through.

I hope to be able to organise and stay on top of two things; My home & my blog. Both are a disorganised, dysfunctional mess and quite frankly, both have this knack of making me want to scream at the top of my lungs when times get a little tough. However, with the help of my new daily planner; sprinkled with a touch of optimism {& a dash of positivity}, I plan to make it…work!
New post sharing with you, my new year resolutions that I hope to achieve in both my blog life and my home life! Quite the double act to juggle!

This year, 2016, has gone by in the flashiest of flashes. Hasn’t it? I can’t believe that as of tomorrow, we’ll be writing 2017; I mean, am I the only one whose not processed that yet? Also, has anyone else seen the Easter egg displays in their local stores? Give us a chance guys! We’ve just put down our Christmas trees, polished off the New Years Eve party hats and you’re already throwing Easter eggs under our noses!
Just a quick little post to say thank you and wishing each & every single one of you, a very Happy New Year! I hope 2017 is as awesome as 2016 was!

Since Annabelle’s tongue tie diagnosis in December 2015, preparing her for Primary school has been one of our top priorities. Of course, building that communication barrier with her was first & foremost our first building block. Then it’s been focusing on her attention span, learning our sounds and words and of course forming sentences. Thankfully all of our hard work, as a little speech delay butt-kicking team has paid off.

I don’t know about you guys but a Saturday morning for us, {aside from it being the husband’s lie-in morning} is my favourite day of the week. So when I saw the idea to do a 52 Saturday mornings photo project I knew that it would the photography project for me. Among the several others that I am currently delving into also! Busy! Busy!

I just think the idea of capturing the essence of your Saturday morning each week for an entire year is such a lovely idea. Our Saturday mornings are usually quite slow, very chilled out but we do have lots of trips & things planned this year too. So I’m looking forward to capturing little moments of our Saturday mornings along the way.

At the beginning of December {last year} one of my best friends and I took a very spontaneous trip to Orihuela, Spain. Our travels were for a multitude of reasons; she experienced a big life change and I had the opportunity to visit my Mummy’s grave. Turns out, her Mum has an apartment quite close to where my own Mum used to live before she died.

Both pretty grim things I’m sure you’ll agree but we turned our trip into one to remember. We reminisced, we drank, we visited my Mum, we drank some more, we laughed until we cried, we chilled, we nursed hangovers and basically had a bloody great time.

Ever since I started taking part in the fabulous Me & Mine photo project, run by Dear Beautiful, back in January and I’ve been excited about doing my end-of-year round-up post of monthly family photos taken throughout 2016. If you’re unfamiliar with this photo project all you need to do to join in is share a photo{s} of you & your family each month, on your blog. It’s as simple as that.
