In my opinion POD 39 is a great hotel for the following reasons: 1. clean room, with all amenities included such as air conditioner and internet, 2. moderate price, 3. nice staff, 4. location 5. The Mexican restaurant inside the hotel is amazing try it! 6. the roof bar is sooo cool try it! The only thing you might not like is the size of the room but I was fine with it. It was big enough, anyway I didn't go to New York to stay at my hotel room! :) I will certainly go back there next time in New York.

I was greeted with a smile, I had no issues whatsoever. Close to everything, walking distance actually. I walked to Park Ave, Times Square, Central Park and back. They give you a priceless map which helps you find your way around. The rooms are teeny but hey this is NYC. They are CLEAN, serve the need for a place to sleep and function from during your stay in NYC. I will return! The attached restaurant/bar is the Salvation Taco, they are great staff, the food is outstanding albeit teeny portions.

Great location. Small and clean rooms. Nice beds. Full HD TVs and content. Lots of power outlets and also powered USB outlets. The bathrooms are nice. Small but practical. Clean. But if you don't know your roommate too well the frosted glass door can be a bit revealing. Personally I liked this design but you may think different... WiFi works fine. I got about 5Mbits down most days. The bar inside the lobby is nice. The rooftop bar is wonderful! Great atmosphere and views. Friendly staff. The location is great. Near transport and touristy "everything" such as Time Sq., Grand Central Station, Fifth Avenue shopping etc. Only drawback is the lack of restaurants. This area is mostly take-out places or expensive restaurants. But take the subway downtown and you find plenty of choices. I spent a week here with three young adults. They loved it. Me too.

Cool place with a beautiful view of manhattan skyline. Bar tenders are smiling. The drinks are relatively cheap. the only bad point is you really need to book in advance to get in if not, you will have to wait a long time to go to the rooftop.

This hotel is not great for the price - location is convenient. The bar downstairs is always packed, but the bartenders work hard to churn things out quickly. The roof bar is nice if the weather holds up Bed is stiff, and the pillows suck, the room is small - even for NYC standards

The Pod 39 was very impressive and surpassed my expectations! It is very very clean and I loved the location and the affordability! The bathrooms were a little odd- kind of see through. The location is just a few blocks to Grand Central Station and a short walk to Times Square. I feel safe in the neighborhood and it is a fun and cheap place to stay- cramped but it was not bad at all. Bigger than your average dorm room.
