ABSOLUTELY SUPERB. I had been to La Mar for the first time in March and my experience had been fantastic, so when I needed to look for a great restaurant to host a business dinner, I did not hesitate and contacted Raquel, the GM at La Mar. Not only did she reply immediately and accommodated 7 of us, but she also placed us upstairs when it wasn't even open so that we could work/dine comfortably. WONDERFUL FOOD, SERVICE+AMBIANCE. Thank you!

This is my favorite neighborhood happy hour spot. The place is amazingly classy. The happy hour food specials are to die for and the service is consistently on point. This is a great place to go out with coworkers and friends.

Absolutely delicious ceviche! Try a trio of 3 ceviches. Perfect place to sit outside for lunch on a summer day and look out over Madision Square Park!

Nothing exceptional, in fact, rather disappointing given this chef's fabulous reviews - a dinner menu with half of the plates mentioned on their website (no 'causa'), a flavorless ceviche, and an overall unsatisfying experience. I've eaten better ceviche in no-name Peruvian dives in South Florida. Given past reviews, this place lacks consistent quality control.

We dinned at La Mar on a Saturday, we had a great experience, the drinks were excellent and this is the only Peruvian place (that we know) with delicious food and great service. Waitress Catherine and crew were prompt and courteous. We are Peruvians and feel very proud to have a restaurant like La Mar in NYC. Anna Paredes

There is a waiting line for this one... Very expensive food, good one though... A good way to impress a date (don't overdo in the menu.)

We went here last night with a group of 8 and had a great time. I never had peruvian food but it seemed to be a mix of fish and chicken similar to mexican. The main staple here was their corn and it seemed to be infused in everything and even was art in the restaurant. The corn was huge and looked like lima beans. They also had a special drink which we had too many of but I really suggest you trying. It is called the peco, it is a tequila, corn and something else with egg. It was frothy and smooth. I suggest just getting a lot of the appetizers for the table instead of trying to order individual dishes.

One of my favourite restaurants from one of my favourite chefs in the world. The causa (in any of its forms) is just outstanding and their empanadas (aji de gallina) delish. Nothing better with "lomo salteado" which will make you feel like in northen Peru. Their desserts are quite interesting (deconstructed "suspiro" limeño my fave). A superb restaurant for special ocasions or to enjoy the best of Peru in NYC.
