This place is highly overrated---it was recommended by all the bartenders in the area and even when muttering "777" on the street, a stranger responded to how good it is. Though the food is good and the atmosphere is fun, it is not worth the price. Small plates are 9-18 Euros and they recommend you have 3 small plates for a meal. If you don't have a big appetite, it's fine to get a small plate for yourself and then share an appetizer like guacamole. But 27-45 euro a meal for Mexican food!? That is ridiculous. If you are used to good Mexican food---then you know the best Mexican food generally costs under 8 Euro. I can understand how this is a novelty for Dublin---but if you are a tourist coming from the states (especially California--where I'm from) skip the Mexican, you'll get way better and cheaper Mexican food at home! If you do decide to go, take advantage of one of there deals---2 margaritas for 12 euro on Monday, 4 euro tacos on Tuesday, or 7.77 small plates on Sunday. Also, the two times I went (Monday and a Thursday)--I had to wait between 20-40 minutes. This was fine because they dogive you a really good time estimate and will call you if it is ready early. Also, you can't just come and drink at the bar--they reserve the bar for people to eat.

Great Mexican food and amazing tequila-based cocktails. Their tequila menu is really good, there's something for everyone. It's a place for having fun with friends, not for a romantic date; the music is quite loud and the place is often pretty packed. Most definitely recommended!

Clever and full-flavoured modern Mexican dishes served in one of the coolest dining rooms in the country, 777 has the mix right. Looking something like a shipwrecked cocktail bar meets American diner, cages of expensive looking Tequilas line the walls and reclaimed wooden tiles clad the ceiling. The staff are trained within an inch of their lives and they claim to serve the best Margaritas in Dublin. Between the booze, the decor and the food, it's so nice that you'll want to stay all night – and if you do you'll feel it the next morning. Mostly in your wallet.

Ambiance is fantastic, albeit very loud. Food was good, but not great.

Went here recently on a weeknight and loved the interior here and the food was really really nice. Good margaritas too. Think if the staff worked on service a bit more (cleaning away empty plates in under 30 minutes) that would justify the prices...

Liked the food very much, nice cosy atmosphere with good tunes in the background. Cocktails are nice and provide a variety of different mexican treats. Prices are high but would recommend

Very much one of the cooler spots in town. Good food and excellent Margaritas. Pricey though & hard to get seats.
