At the time of writing, the restaurant had a Health Rating of B. Also, please be aware that this restaurant only accepts Cash or American Express. Jekyll and Hyde is a unique restaurant, putting a spin on the traditional and plain old eating experience. During our visit, they had two performers that would occasionally visit each table and strike up a unique conversation. As you can imagine, this entertainment is not free, which comes with a fee of $3 charge per person, whether or not you decide to purchase something at the restaurant.

We took some kids there on a field trip, so we were really looking forward to the experience. However, we were disappointed when we got there. They were starving and tired of walking so we stayed. The lights were burnt out in the bathrooms. The mechanical pieces they had moving and talking were broken and/or poorly lit. Since we're a theatre group we were looking forward to the mini shows, but were told there was no entertainment for the evening, even on a Saturday night. They did have a fortune teller roaming around, but that was it. The food was very expensive and was not very good. Most of our group just kinda picked around on their plates, we ended up going to a fast food place later. And even without the mini shows, there was still a $3 per person entertainment fee added to the bill. It just came across as run down, disorganized, and overpriced. Maybe it would be better on a night with entertainment, and maybe they were having a bad day with the food, but overall I wouldn't recommend it. Especially for those looking for a fun experience that lives up to the ideal that is NYC

BEWARE IF YOU HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES!!! This should be a zero star rating, but the system doesn't allow for it. I took my family to this restaurant after a day in the city. My son has a severe peanut/tree nut allergy. I emphasized this to our waitress several times before and throughout the meal and again before ordering dessert. To be safe we went with chocolate ice cream and our server assured us this would be safe. Thank goodness my son did not eat his right away because his sister noticed the ice cream tasted like peanut butter. I didn't believe her, but when I tasted it, sure enough, it was peanut butter chip ice cream. STUPID, CARELESS, and IRRESPONSIBLE! When we brought this to the attention of our server, she wasn't even intelligent enough to understand the severity of what had just transpired and said she would bring chocolate. We said, never mind and promptly left. We won't be returning.

Our kids love it for the atmosphere, you'll not find this anywhere else especially since the bigger better club shut down in Times Square. The food is overpriced for what you get (normal pub fare) but it's NY so good luck finding a better deal. The taste of the meals is nothing fancy either. The entertainers have fun with it all and the props could use a bit of a fix here and there but all and all it's not a bad place by any means. We come every year around Christmas and the place is always full. Just so you know ahead of time there's a $3 per person entertainment charge per person. That can add up with a family.

Got a great deal on a Groupon. The atmosphere was fun, actors kept coming up and talking to you. Food was not that great. I ordered the short rib and it was way too salty. It's a good place to go for drinks and the atmophere.

Their original location was much nicer and left much to be desired here. The main sitting area was very small & cramped. The hostess tried seating me and another guest at a table that was literally on top of other guests, and staff kept knocking into our table/chairs every time they passed. The entertainment was exceedingly loud. The food seemed fine but the environment was disappointing, especially considering their original midtown location.

Cute little restaurant with good food and a fun atmosphere. Definitely worth a stop.
