stopped in for a drink out of sheer curiosity and it turned out to be the highlight of our night. the atmosphere is unlike anywhere else I had ever been. we must have spent a good half hour just walking around the restaraunt just looking at everything. the "shows" they put on are pretty funny as well. I mean come on the bathroom is hiding inside a hidden door in side a fireplace. love it.

I don't know if it's a Sunday issue but our experience was horrible. Bar was out of items on the menu, plates were dirty, appetizers didn't come until AFTER the food was served (warm at best), drinks took forever to come, water glasses empty, food was just ok... oh and the added gratuity and $3 entertainment fee is a ripoff. NYC has many excellent restaurants, this isn't one of them... skip it!

This bar is amazing! The food and drinks are delicious. The decor is fun for the entire family. The staff is unbelievably amazing and courteous. I will definitely recommend this place to friends and will come back any time I'm in New York City.

Took my 10 year old son and his friend for the first time. I haven't been there since before he was born and thought it would be fun for the boys. I knew it would be more expensive than a regular restaurant but was OK with that, but not $19 for a burger and fries and & $15 kids meals. When I got the check, they charged me for drinks that came with the kids meal and found a $3 per person "entertainment charge". The food was OK at best and the "entertainment" was not worth $3 per person. The other thing was that the place was so dimly lit that you could barely read the menu, and the prices were very small and they looked like decent prices until you noticed a smaller "1" in front of the other numbers. So, a seemingly $9 burger was actually $19. Their web site does not show any prices on its menu or mention the entertainment charge, if it did, I wouldn't have gone and needless to say, I will not go back.

Great Food! Awesome entertainment and actors and props all round the place! There is a 6 or 7 dollar charge in your bill for entertainment but its worth it for the fun you'll have in the place. Eat, explore and enjoy a different and awesome restaurant!!

It's a really fun, family oriented fright fest. The service staff is great and I've always experienced really high energy levels which is important. Obviously the atmosphere is spooky (and only a little bit corny) - and I love the old dusty things that litter the space, and the gift shop which sells branded merchandise. The food itself is mediocre, and the service slow - though it may be intentional as it allows you to soak in the props and engage more with the staff. The price is also a bit on the higher side, but seeing as this is more of an event for me, rather than a place to grab a bite, I think it's worth it.

I FRICKIN LOVE THIS PLACE! Every time we go to NYC, we eat here. The food's outstanding, the actors are pretty convincing, and overall it's a fun place to go if you like mysterious stuff. A word of warning though...the Chamber of Horrors is NOT for the faint hearted. Your either REALLY brave, or REALLY stupid by making he choice to go in there.
