I love it when the math is this easy! 4.15mi per KW means smooth effortless driving that costs 25% of what the standard North American car costs. Also, no oil was harmed or consumed the whole day. #ChevyVolt #EV

My drive home today, 4.2 miles per KWh. Put another way that is 2½ cents per mile in "socket fuel" at market rate of 10.5¢/KWh. Compare to pump gas at 10.3¢ per mile. So gas costs 4x per mile today. I wonder how much gas will cost you tomorrow per mile! #ChevyVolt

This is the thing I don't get: the ACA looks to be #BAD in states with hostile leadership. Rubio crowed about defunding the risk corridors that were designed to prevent large premium swings in untried markets. Despite 7yrs of constant hamstringing, kneecapping, and doom saying from Republican lawmakers, the ACA has still managed to decrease, nationally, hospital losses to uninsured treatment. Which was kinda the point.. less people relying on ERs for health care, because they have health care.

Now imagine what would have happened if the opposing side had just done nothing (forget actually participating in the process) and let it live or die on it's own?

I understand the desire to not pay for things you don't want to, but at the point where the suffering affects GDP we should all have a dog in that hunt. The ACA is a public/private compromise that is turning the rudder on a huge ship. Huge ships turn slow for good reasons.
