The table and its objects rendered in white plaster and the presence of Jesus suggested by a glowing light above the table.

A Poet in October #DylanThomas
Sunday 26th October 3:30pm
A programme by Stephen Hollinghurst and poet Edward Storey who will celebrate Dylan Thomas the poet more than the man. The programme will share Thomas' humorous memories of childhood and the religious questioning in his later poems. He was not only a brilliant comic writer but also a visionary poet whose talent has been over-shadowed by his reputation as a drunken philanderer. This programme aims to restore a true picture of the Welsh poet's reputation whose genius will survive the scandals.
In aid of the St Andrew’s Development Appeal.
Tickets £5 on the door. Further info davidhiam@aol.com 01547 560246

Following the acclaim which last years 'Last Supper' exhibition received, The Friends of St Michael's Church have commissioned a new and thought provoking subject for Lent 2014. The Wilderness theme reflects on Christ's forty days in the desert, which have become the 40 days of Lent.
The Friends of St Michael’s, guided as in previous years by artist Charles MacCarthy, have briefed 15 selected artists and each has their own text to work on. The participating artists are:
Carolyn Blake, Julienne Braham, Simon Dorrell, Nicky Hopwood, Lois Hopwood, Andrea Maclean, Charles MacCarthy, Dan MacCarthy, Tania Mosse, Alison Neal, Roger Percival, Mandy Pritchard, Alex Ramsay, Susannah Royle and Bronte Woodruff.
