Funny yet sad and frightening watching this video. It's living proof we are a dumbed down society and culture. No wonder we're in such a mess.

The Loneliness of the Christian

by A. W. Tozer

The loneliness of the Christian results from his walk with God in an ungodly world, a walk that must often take him away from the fellowship of good Christians as well as from that of the unregenerate world. His God-given instincts cry out for companionship with others of his kind, others who can understand his longings, his aspirations, his absorption in the love of Christ; and because within his circle of friends there are so few who share his inner experiences he is forced to walk alone.

The unsatisfied longings of the prophets for human understanding caused them to cry out in their complaint, and even our Lord Himself suffered in the same way.

The man [or woman] who has passed on into the divine Presence in actual inner experience will not find many who understand him. He finds few who care to talk about that which is the supreme object of his interest, so he is often silent and preoccupied in the midst of noisy religious shoptalk. For this he earns the reputation of being dull and over-serious, so he is avoided and the gulf between him and society widens.

He searches for friends upon whose garments he can detect the smell of myrrh and aloes and cassia out of the ivory palaces, and finding few or none he, like Mary of old, keeps these things in his heart.

It is this very loneliness that throws him back upon God. His inability to find human companionship drives him to seek in God what he can find nowhere else."

If you are feeling lonely, you may need to change your perception.

Jesus does not just walk off when you stop praying.  You are constantly in his presence.
The Holy Spirit took up permanent residence in you and you are constantly the Temple of God's Spirit. God is always right there for you.

You also have the audience of any number of God's Holy Angels, who minister to your needs.

Even the Enemy and his forces are constantly taking note of your actions, although they are not good company, but you are never alone.

You have a crowd of witness, and no privacy, but also are NEVER alone.  What you do matters, and what you do is observed, as if you were a actor on a vast stage.

+William Pittenger The bible is full of errors and contradictions the entire torah is a fable written in babylonian custody including plagiarising sumerian creation/flood myths. the exodus is totally mythical and moses is as credible as king Arthur.

So now the US Patent and Trademark office is politicized by this tyrannical regime on the left. While Iraq burns and vets die waiting to get medical treatment in VA hospitals we have political correctness go amuck. What has happened to our once great nation? I don't recognize it anymore.

Thanks +Linda Odell for posting on that other social network.
This video, while funny, is both sad and scary. It's proof we have a dumbed down culture, as well as broken education system. We deserve the sub par elected officials we see at all levels of government. No wonder we are in a mess.

Have made several postings about this hero of mine-Louie Zamperini. He passed away at the age of 97. His story of Olympic distance running, heroic service in World War II and captivity will be told in an upcoming movie to be released Christmas Day titled "Unbroken"directed by Angelina Jolie and based on the book by Laura Hildebrand. More importantly, upon his return home from war, he came to know his Lord and Saviour Jesus. He was a model of forgiveness to his brutal captors. Will miss him

Introduction
"Aim at heaven and you will get earth thrown in. Aim at earth and you get neither." C.S. Lewis
Try to look at life from more of an eternal perspective. Love my Lord and Savior Jesus. Love my wife and family. Employed in the financial services industry- insurance, banking, credit unions. Blessed to have lived a lot of places including 8 states as well as Germany. Now residing in WI. Love  cycling, especially on mountain bike and on trails. Also like swimming, strength conditioning, hiking, fishing and going to movies. Used to love running until the knees gave out. Army veteran. Seeking new friends and reconnecting with old friends. Likes discussion of various topics, reading, movies and listening to all kinds of music.

Bragging rights
Prefer humility. However I admit I will brag about my wife and son's accomplishments.
