As promised, a few photos collected from various sources of the "severe storm" (HA) that came through my workplace around 4pm yesterday.

So there's no one at work today...no boss, no client representatives, no operations management, no coworker.  What exactly is stopping me from installing D3 to an external hard drive, bringing it in, and filling my day with pixel death?

<insert inaudible muttering about crappy work computers and not wanting to get fired>

Enjoy the day, mes amis.

Though getting fired would certainly open up more time to look for a job that isn't utter shite, and would also allow you to start said not-utter-shite job much sooner.

I'll stop being a bad influence now. :)

What are acceptable subjects for the modifier "too?"  Right now I seem to be having some difficulty determining this.

Depends on what's being modified.  Too drunk, too happy, too sad, too pushy, too sweet, too kind, too kinky, too much drama, too much booty in the pants...

Rainy day...like I needed another reason to leave my actually-warm-for-once bed. You know, a girl could get used to this--except for the having to leave said bed to go to work.

Breathless.  Need to breath.  Twenty-five years after Sandman appeared, Gaiman's going back to the beginning...because where was that far galaxy?  What did Morpheus do there?  What was his victory of a sort that exhausted him beyond recognition?  What set him on the path?

Still need to breath.

2013.  Sandman Prequels.  Written by Gaiman.  Will be released.  Really.

How the HELL did I miss this Comic-con announcement?!

Watching my bloodline app for Requiem wind through the layers of approvals is sort of like watching paint dry, if paint were less active but more rewarding.  VST's ok with it, now time for DST--and I'm pretty sure I'll need to add/edit some answers.  I just don't know what.  Should probably stop watching said app and get back to the LS midnight mass, the two minor sewing projects for First Night, locating the rest of my mage costume just in case we all decide to forego sleep, and maybe even enter other venue characters into a database.

Or, you know, continue doing my job at work.  Because none of the foregoing can happen until at least 4:15pm today.

It occurs to me that my real job is interfering with my fake job, my fake job is interfering with my PC gaming, and all of the foregoing are interfering with my sleep schedule and sanity.

In the interest of avoiding hypocrisy, I can't disagree.  Dammit.

(cross-post from the book o' faces:)

Per Bob, love is installing a 3 TB drive into your girlfriend's computer. True love is letting her keep it after you figure out how you could have made it work in your RAID array.

Thanks to the boyfriend I just went from having two 160 gig drives, only one of which my computer would recognize, to having 3.4 TB spread across four drives that look like five. This may represent a slight upgrade.  And they're organized!  I have a drive for basic docs and whatnot, a drive for media, a drive for games, and a drive that appears to be doing nothing more than running Windows because it doesn't have to do anything else.  AND all the random crap that was installed by other parties on my PC without my permission is now gone!

I no longer have to sort through my games and choose what to delete whenever I want to install a new one.  Lots of love for a Bob today.

My friend Dan posted this.  TELL ME this does not look cool as hell.  I dare you.

For you--maybe for others as well.  Nothing new.  In a stubborn sense, it helps me.  A certain type of angry music in general helps me focus and grind back toward...well, "normal" is a strong word, but something more alive.

The difficulties in quitting smoking while having two roommates who smoke and a host of work friends who do as well cannot be overstated.  New associations are in place for home and not-at-home, but are not yet present for work.

I'm open to suggestion, for this is ridiculous.

Eh.  If I decide to do Fluxx at the coffee shop on some night other than Friday - and Saturday is frequently an option - I may just make a Calendar event of it.
