"...the coal-fired power stations in NSW are unable to compete with other power sources unless their coal is supplied at around one quarter of the cost of export coal." The myth of cheap coal.

Woo on the + side.
This is amazing, I thought I had to play D&D to get a levitating disk. Turns out it's no longer fantasy :)

Finds it remarkable that irrigators would rather bleed the river dry than give up any water at all.
Thousands of people have converged on the NSW town of Griffith to vent their anger about plans to cut irrigation allowances in the Murray-Darling Basin.

thinks cheese research has gone under funded in Australia for far too long!
It's an outra...oh wait... :)
More fuel efficient cars, better mental health in Indigenous communities and tastier cheese could be some of the results from a $310 million Federal Government investment in research.

I know my life would be better off if there was more tasty cheese in the world

Great food, high prices, average customer service: The food was really nice, but pretty expensive for breakfast. Even though the majority of tables were empty, the lady allocating tables did not want to let my wife and I sit at a table of 4 to wait for our other two party members (who were due to arrive in two minutes). She made me phone our friends to make sure they were still going to come before she reluctantly agreed to let us sit at a table for four. Apart from that and the price it was an otherwise enjoyable experience.

Mostly generic shops. Not really my cup of tea.

Great Bottle-o! Great selection of beers. Will apparently price match. Open later than I'd expect during the week.
