The food was delicious, however the portions were miniscule. Limited menu. The salad, vegetables and toasted semolina bread (although quite tasty) were a la carte. All five people in our party were disappointed after having heard positive reviews. We all agreed that was our first and last visit. I would recommend that you look at the menus online to get a sense of the limitations for your dining group. All the tables were filled so obviously it appeals to diners who value unique farm fresh dining regardless of cost or portion size.

People who are looking for their usual favorite dish can eat elsewhere. People who are looking for a restaurant that can "ruin" all other restaurants ought to eat at Nudel. The food there is not only masterfully created, it's actually _delicious_! The ingredients are farm-to-table and the farms are mentioned in the menu item description itself. I could eat at Nudel every night and the fact that the menu practically changes every night is an added benefit. People who have posted negative reviews come looking for "traditional dishes", "substitutions", and "a55-kissing". You will find none of these at Nudel. What you will find is exquisite taste, inimitably creative dishes, and true appreciation for your patronage. The chef truly wants you to have a great culinary experience. There is no snooty attitude from the staff, no overpriced spirits, no over-the-top decor. The focus is the food. Nudel has a very faithful fan base of diverse customers that knows to put their trust in the owner's hands and they know before they even walk in the restaurant that whatever they have that night will be absolutely magnificent. I have eaten there at least once a week for a year now and every first bite I take, I can't help but wonder "how does he do it?". It just never gets old at Nudel.

Nice little restaurants where you're sure to make new friends as the tables are close to each other.

Im a traveling FOODIE and I am very picky about where I eat. This was such a delight! I had a front row seat at counter to watch Bjorn artfully and easily prepare his delish cuisine of organic and locally grown ingredients! The beef tartare is out of this world and the mushroom and collard greens ragout with poached egg is as good as it gets anywhere! NOT TO MISS if you are in Lenox! fabulous! Susan Nefzger

Foodies should flock to Nudel! As we entered the restaurant aromas of meals in preparation filled the air and we began to salivate. The space is clean, simple and intimate - very unpretentious. The staff was very attentive to our needs, informative and friendly. Started the meal with a sparkling wine and a cheese plate. Main courses included a veggie burger sandwich on ciabatta and roasted steehead with miso, mushrooms and scallions. Enjoy

Fantastic creative small plates and pastas at this no-reservation, dinner-only small place in Lenox. Chef Bjorn Somlo loves to chat with foodies, so sit at the bar and hang out with him while he fires up the meals himself. For pure food experience, this is as good as it gets in the Berkshires.

We eat here more than most places. Always fresh, fun and exciting. I am stunned by the cowardice of some of these reviews. I can assure anybody the the staff and the chef have always be inviting, kind and warm. The food prices are beyond a steal if you were to research what your getting on the plate in the way of quality, execution and creativity. Needless to say, for those that don't get it, please go away. It will make more room for the rest of us.

The corn soup had a great tast, but, they put too much salt in that soup, it was the way too salty! It just stopped me to enjoy all dished.
