Is building in a Linux "chroot" possible?

At work we create a Fedora 10 based distribution (yes, I know...oooold), and we're soon transitioning to Centos 6.5 (both 64-bit).

Currently, I run Ubuntu and just chroot to the correct system to build our code.

I'd like to switch my dev box to a flavor of BSD while retaining the ability to build.

Is that possible?

Yeah, I'd consider it just dev work. I build it, copy it over to my native appliance, and see how it goes. Worst case scenario I can go the vm route.

Cool visualization.

How a lock pick works,  The tool on the bottom is a torsion wrench, exerting rotational pressure like the key would. The pick does what the key would do to each of the pins one at a time.

This calms the grammar nazi in me. Somewhat.

Some of my friends and colleagues like to argue over grammar, especially Oxford commas and what not. This one's for them.
On the first day of what would be a depressing and alienating two-year trudge under the fluorescent lights of a rural high school, a soft-spoken bald man stood in front of my English class and looked at the ceiling as if trying to remember what he was going to say. "So. In the past few years, ...

Hey Hulu Plus, you suck.

7 commercial breaks in a 45 minute show on a service that I pay for.

I think I'll just download the rest.

2015? I guess they still want to pump out some more stupid side-scrollers first.

Looks amazing, though!

Holy crap. If Mario Kart 8 wasn't enough to get the Wii U, the new Zelda looks like it will be.

I'm pretty sure the Wii U is region locked though. Been looking to see if that has been broken yet, but I didn't spot anything that seemed viable at this point.

Five things that make Go fast #golang   #performanc
I was recently invited to give a talk at Gocon, a fantastic Go conference held semi annually in Tokyo, Japan. Gocon 2014 was an entirely community run one day event combining training and an afternoon of presentations surrounding the theme of Go in production .

I'm part owner of a little Cessna 150. I went flying with the other owner to Delta, then to Nephi, then back. It was a lot of fun. With a little plane like that, you stay pretty low, and you can really see the details below you.
