BREAKING NEWS: NEW PUBLISHING SITE: WATTPAD!

Some of my stories will soon be available on the popular website and mobile app Wattpad! I haven't yet decided my Wattpad release pattern and selection yet, but I can guarantee you one thing: "Duck Season" is already available on Wattpad! Grab some tissues and experience the adorable tale of Martin and Angie's friendship all over again, optimized for mobile devices (and perfectly functional on computers)!

Look here for more information regarding Wattpad releases in the coming weeks!

EDIT: "The Mirrors are Plotting" is now also available on Wattpad! (This story is rated R/M. Reader discretion is strongly advised.)

"Exile" will be released on Wattpad, along with the ZU Forums, Figment, and perhaps also deviantART, upon release.

Armed with Wings is officially on hiatus, after a full 366 (now 368) days without a new chapter release.

Last night, I started work on my 21st short story. This is the first story I have ever started writing (a significant amount of) before having a title for it. At this point, I can tell you that it is a dystopian fantasy/adventure tale focusing on a teenage boy's journey to conquer the destiny set out for him by his society and be his own person. The story is a commentary on our society today and its "gender roles," as well as on the oppression that comes with certain traditions being blindly upheld.

When I have the title, I will post it here first!

EDIT: The title of the story is "Exile!"

P.S. How the heck can +Google Chrome's internal dictionary not include the word "dystopian" but include the word "Dionysian?" Does not compute! (The name "Zelda" also isn't included, as I discovered last night. Gosh.)

"THE MIRRORS ARE PLOTTING" IS NOW AVAILABLE ON FIGMENT! Check it out!

This month, I plan on recording new editions of my short story audiobooks. The new collection will also include audiobooks for "Star Crash," "Duck Season," and "The Mirrors are Plotting," which were absent from the previous collection, recorded in September 2011.

This audiobook collection will not be free, unlike the last one. (I may offer an audiobook or two for free individual download.) I am thinking of selling it for an introductory price of US$15. BTC will not be accepted for this collection; sorry!

Look for it on the blog late December or sometime in January! I'll keep you posted!

The official cover for "The Mirrors are Plotting" is complete! Made in MS Paint like the rest of 'em, this cover is quite simple, using only tools within the program itself rather than utilizing any images found online like all previous covers. I quite like it! A separate cover for deviantART has also been completed. This, of course, means that the story will definitely be coming to DA in the near future! "THE MIRRORS ARE PLOTTING" WILL BE RELEASED ON FIGMENT TOMORROW! Check it out!

I am waiting on a response from former Zelda Universe Forums artist Jehanne, who left the forums indefinitely in early October and who apparently removed the cover art that she made for "Duck Season" from her Photobucket account. Once I can get my hands on the artwork, I will turn it into a cover, and "Duck Season" will be released on Figment (and subsequently, deviantART). (The release of "Mirrors" on DA relies on "Duck Season being released there beforehand, so it may be a while. Sorry!)

THIS POST MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR "THE MIRRORS ARE PLOTTING."

A couple people have expressed the need for a greater focus on the knife-handed monster featured in "The Mirrors are Plotting." As such, I have decided that next year's Halloween story will be a spiritual successor to "The Mirrors..." and will focus more heavily on the monster!

"The Mirrors are Plotting" is more about suspense, in a similar vein to "Twelve Chimes." Thus why the monster doesn't really come into the story until the end. (Like in "Twelve Chimes!" In that one, though, the monsters were brought up every couple paragraphs or so. In this one, it is only mentioned here and there, more often earlier on.)

With "Mirrors," I used a different approach that I have in the past: two villains in a single story. It's up to you to decide who the main villain is if there is one! Who do you think is the main/more evil villain in "Mirrors:" the invisible monster or the mirrors?
