The first time I came here was within the first two months that it opened and you could tell that the menu was not quite refined. But I just recently visited again and they have definitely stepped up their game! Their menu and flavors are on par with their sister restaurant, Barley Swine. Great service, great flavors, and cool location. Their menu is ever-changing and the cool thing is that they will list the local farms that they work with so we know where the food is coming from.

Want to eat at one of the top 5 restaurants in Austin for 40 bucks? Odd Duck is your place. No wait at 3pm. Got sweet corn soup, I really wish there was more of it - so good. Some rice dish with a duck egg - amazing. Topped it off with a beef tung ruben - melt-in-your-mouth meat. If I was really hungry I could of gotten something else - but it satisfied me. Check was <$40 with tip.

The place was a whole lot more enjoyable when it was a food truck!!! Miss the great sliders they had, they shouldn't forget their roots and how they started. They went from being a great food truck to a pricey "gourmet" small plate restaurant.

Love, love, love Odd Duck. Loved it as a trailer, love Barley Swine, adore Odd Duck now. Go at lunch and grab a quick cocktail with an amazing sandwich or put the pedal to the floor with a bunch of plates and a family-style dish at dinner. You can't beat this place.

I had an amazing dinner here with my girlfriend. We loved the unique atmosphere and the equally unique, delicious dishes! Their dishes are relatively small and moderately priced, which allows you to try several (we ordered 7 for the two of us) different dishes. I highly recommend Odd Duck!

Great food, Great atmosphere and very accommodating staff and CHEF! I took my 5 year old nephew and he asked the waiter for a kids menu. The waiter found it funny and we ordered some food to get us started. 5 minutes later the waiter came out with the chef asking my nephew what he would like. As any 5 year old would, he requested chicken nuggets and the chef obliged. As we were about to leave the chef came back out asking my nephew how the chicken nuggets were and his reply was simply "Umm... they were ok." Laughs were had but at the end of the day it showed a lot for the chef to come out and satisfy a bratty 5 year old kid. Amazing service and highly recommend it. Definitely and Austin favorite.

This place is fascinating. Every dish is incredible. Sit in the back at the bar overlooking the kitchen and watch how meticulously crafted each dish is. You'll love it!

This is an easy one. Odd Duck is the easiest restaurant to recommend that I've ever encountered. There are no qualifiers needed. It's not expensive, It doesn't require fancy clothes, reservations weeks in advance, waiting in a huge line, or even an adventurous palate. It is simply amazing comfort food that everyone can enjoy. Odd Duck bends over backwards to cater to everyone, veggies, vegans, gluten-free, and I think they even have a couple other menus. Everyone can eat well here - especially the lucky ones like me who eat everything. The menu changes all the time, so it's hard to give you specifics that will be available when you go, but I insist you order one or more of the bread courses, which are always amazing. Sharing is encouraged, so order as many different plates as your party can handle, and experience the widest possible array of expertly prepared local food. Service is friendly, the food starts coming out pretty quickly, and the cocktails are memorable. Get here immediately.
