This place is awesome. It's a small plate style restaurant, which I think is fun because one gets to try many different menu items if you're willing to share. That being said, go with people you don't mind sharing with, and you'll enjoy your meal a lot more. The food and service was spectacular. The drinks were also very good with a lot of homemade ingredients in their concoctions. It's not all for the faint of heart (pig face, entire chickens (including feet), fish head, etc), but there are enough options to get more PG rated dishes if you can't handle the whole animal on your table. If you can, go for it because it's delicious.

"Loved it" is an understatement. Prior to the military I was in the service industry. That being said I feel that I have high standards for service but I also am understanding of long waits for food, not exceptionally timely refills and other annoyances to most. I go in hoping for the best and planning for the worst. This place was on the radar because my friend and I were looking for yaupon tea on Austin. We live in San Antonio and made a day trip of it. I enjoyed everything about this place. Our service was stellar, I believe our server's name was Joseph. He made great suggestions and explained the menu items in detail. I enjoyed the food, the service, the yaupon tea- all of it. I truly don't know if I have ever had a better server than him! I will be returning!

We went on a date night. The place is cool/hip. I did like the beer selection. Wine by the glass fairly limited. Cocktails looked delicious but refrained. We had 6 dishes. They were creative and small. I was not wowed by a single one. The first 2-3 came out in a timely manner and then the final 2 came out almost an hour after we ordered them which we didn't understand. It felt like they were trying to keep us there to drink while we were waiting for our food. Glad we tried it. Will not go back.

the only restaurant where ingredients are selected by throwing darts and the beer is more filling than the food. don't worry, the waitress will be back in 10 minutes to refill your thimble full of water. definitely smelled a gas leak when i walked in. hope it doesn't burn to the ground with all the hipsters inside. that would be real sad.

Love this place!! Been several times now and have enjoyed it each time. If you want a table you need to have a reservation but the bar seats are comfortable and the service has always been outstanding. Great wine list too!!

I cannot rave enough about the food here. I came here with a friend for dinner. The menu is tapa-ish style so expect small (but amazing) dishes. It's much better suited for small groups of friends or couples so you can share and order various things. We opted for the frog legs with Texas toast, Goat Lasagna, bread and butter, fried calamari, and I think braised beef with brussel sprouts. I washed it down with a couple of carrot mosow mules, which has now become of my favorite cocktails of all time. I love regular mules but this one was exceptional. The best dish, recommended by our great server, was the goat lasagna by far. I am still thinking about the dish months later...Believe me it's worth every dollar. I highly recommend Odd Duck for a nice meal. If only I lived in Austin again and could come every week!

I had an amazing dinner here with my girlfriend. We loved the unique atmosphere and the equally unique, delicious dishes! Their dishes are relatively small and moderately priced, which allows you to try several (we ordered 7 for the two of us) different dishes. I highly recommend Odd Duck!

Odd Duck is such a rare treat! With small plates being the name of the game, this is the perfect place for date night or an intimate dinner opportunity with 3-4 guests. The prices for the small plates are not that bad, but be warned 1 plate only feeds 1 person and is not a whole meal. Light dinner is definitely an option. Some recommendations: THEIR HOMEMADE BREAD. My god it is a heaven-sent goody. The goat lasagna if it is on their season menu, is divine as well. Goat ground meat and goat cheese in one lasagna? Pinch me. Overall a really excellent find in Austin, TX. I really enjoyed odd duck and will be finding a celebratory reason to eat there again soon!
