My experience at Golds Gym in Magnolia has met my expectations. I tend to use the gym in the evening after peak hours and the place is clean when I come in to lift. All of the equipment is in good condition. The price is cheap for the area and I would recommend to others. Anytime I have had an issue the staff has been helpful.

Back in 2011 I signed up for a three year membership and just found out that I was put on an automatic renewal. I went to the gym 5 or 6 times before the Personal Trainer sent me to the hospital due to an unrealistic workout for a 52 year old man in terrible shape. Now management says that I owe them another $150 and they will not cancel my membership. My kids went to school with the owners kids but I did not think the owners were typical gym rats, but they must be. Terrible shame!

All of our trainers are certified to help others achieve their fitness goals, and if you felt that the training session was not adequate for your needs, we are more than willing to help you become acquainted with someone else who can help. In regards to your membership and the cancellation process, we do have a very specific policy to maintain structure and privacy for both the gym and all of its members. If you would like to speak with someone to help answer your questions, you can stop by the gym or give us a call to speak with someone in member services. We appreciate you sharing your concerns, and again I hope that we are able to help address each and every one of them.

I only go here because my roommate works out here. I tried training and the trainer bailed. Also, they over charged me and he contract your put in when you sign screws you if you try to get out of it. I am out money and I will not use a trainer ever again. Thanks for nothing. Also, I got asked if I couldn't spend the money because I had to answer to my husband/boyfriend first. I have never been so shocked by someone saying something to me like that before.

We are clear when it comes to our memberships in the beginning what you are signing up for, including when you sign up for persona training. Our trainers always reach out before hand to confirm your appointment so we apologize if there was any miscommunication in regards to your appointment. We would be more than happy to reschedule the appointment for you if you wish to call the club. Again, we take a lot of pride when it comes to customer service and if you or anyone has ever felt uncomfortable at our club we strongly encourage others to bring it to management’s attention as soon as possible. It's a clean gym & has everything I need. The personal trainers are nice. Someone there went above & beyond to help me, I believe his name was David.

Don't use Golds if you ever think you will want to cancel due to a move. I called twice to cancel my membership, once in May and again this month (June 8th) and I am still responsible for paying yet another month (July) because they say there is no record of me cancelling. They said I never specifically requested to cancel yet I told them I moved 1.5 hours away and cancelled the credit card on file. I was told by the person when I cancelled my card I would no longer be charged and that my acct was cancelled. Still, today I get a call that I need to pay July. What!? ABC is ridiculous and notorious for doing this, just read the other reviews here, google or visit the BBB. Maybe if Golds would get a merchant service company that actually cared about its customers they would have a better review. Reading all of the complaints about ABC online would make me think twice ever joining anything that they are responsible for handling. If I could give a Zero I would! Im off to pay another month for a gym membership I never use!

We work with a third party company who handles are billing, and because of this and to maintain the structure of our gym and the privacy of its members, we have a very specific policy for cancellation. Edgar introduced me to one of the best personal trainers I've ever had. Micheal has given me workout plans as well as food plans and I've lost over 50 pounds!! These guys know what they're talking about, I've tried multiple trainers in the past and have never received such evident results. I'd recommend this gym to anyone that will listen, and will forever be in debt to these guys.

they blow up your phone from the minute you download a free week pass. very pushy with the sales. got upset with me when I made it clear that I didn't want all the calls and wasn't interested in buying personal trainer packages. at that point, they wouldn't return any of my phone calls to set up the appointment for the "mandatory assessment" so that I could get my key card. I finally got upset enough and the front desk girl got my card for me. other than that, a great gym. clean. nice variety of classes offered, and the front desk girls have been very nice to me.

My wife an I have been going to this Gold’s Gym close to 1 ½ years now. We started going to lose weight and tone up. The gym was on our way home from work and they offered everything we needed, including many different classes and personal training. After a few months of going to the gym regularly with ok results we decided to get a personal trainer, James Vernon. We saw him 2 to 3 times a week and it made all of the difference. I went from a size 40 waist to 34, from 240 pounds to 210 and from 30% body fat to 15%. My wife’s results are just as impressive if not more so and it only took us about 6 months. The results that we have achieved are from our hard work and dedication to hit goals that we set, however I firmly believe that if we did not have James to help us with his knowledge and experience we may never have reached them. I am so thankful that my wife made me do this with her and I am even more thankful that we found James, because of him we are heathier, stronger versions of ourselves. We have reached our goals and have set new ones and I know James will get us there. Thanks Golds Gym and Thanks to James Vernon.
