a great french bistro with a twist - cuban/south american influenced cuisine. they have traditional french dishes (the steak frites was excellent) and south american dishes such as venezulian clam soup; latin spiced boullibaise etc. there is a prix fixe that is a very good value. very nice wine list with many reasonable french offerings.

This is a decent option. I have eaten one full on dinner here and a time at the bar. My advice is just go for the bar! The menu is great, order the duck tamales and the cuban sandwich. I really enjoyed the drinks here, especially the mojito and sangria. The cod was pretty good and the cornish hen. We didn't experience the best service at dinner and thought it was a little pricey for the whole experience.

we decided to try it again, and weren't enthralled, again. good food, but you can get better, cheaper, within a short walk. i don't get the crowds. or the noise.

upscale french food. nice quality, and unique but a bit too expensive for the atmosphere.

Oysters & Gateau (spell?) were very good, but Flounder & Salmon entrees had some issues. The flounder's quinoa was seriously over "lemoned," and the Salmon's bean base was seriously over-briny to the point of near inedible. As if the entrees weren't taste-tested when plated? Asked the waiter/hostess for another plate of beans and the response was polite, but "I think that's just the way it's made. I won't tell the chef, I'll tell the owner later." The consolation was a free $9 dessert. It takes quite a lot for me to make any complaint about a dish (twice in my 33 years). I expected more. When a complaint is made you simply make it right (fix the beans). A $9 free dessert or even a total refund doesn't keep you from losing business and bad references - making it right *gains* you business and great references.

I love this place because it presses my foodie button in just the right way.... Cuban with a french flare...and I love flare. It's conveniently located directly in between two of my favorite squares: Harvard and Porter in Cambridge.

I don't care how the food tastes, the service was beyond awful. I'm not exaggerating when I say I receive better service at Dunkin' Donuts in the square. It took 2 hours to eat dinner because of the shoddy service. Our server spoke to us only once throughout the meal. We had to beg for a dessert menu. The only competent server was our bus boy. Please don't waste your time. There are far better restaurants in the square with fantastic service, without the cold indifference and inattentive waiters.

With a Gilt City coupon I went with high expectations only to have them exceeded. Great service, terrific starters, entrees, and sweets, not to mention terrific service; I had a terrific experience. The ceviche is fresh, bouillabase complex, menu diverse, and desserts to save room for. I'll go back.
